Nearly all tickets sold in bulk to touts before general sale and the 200 tickets held for general sale went in 5 minutes.

    I am going :happy

If anyone is planning on getting the ppv and has a sky subscription and whats to lower there price.

Cancel sky they then turn off your subscription in 30 days. During that time they offer u 25% off then 50% with a 12 month contract dont take that.

They will then offer u 50% no contract and a £50 free credit. Last year I did manage to get 75% but this year they only seem to go 50%

Not bad though if you are paying full price.

Sky are losing subscribers on an unprecedented level since BT took the Champions League football.

People have woke up at last and Sky know they have a problem.

OCTOBER 21, 2015 by: Henry Mance, Media correspondent
Sky has weathered the loss of Champions League football rights to rival BT, reporting a sharp rise in customer numbers in the three months to September.

The satellite broadcaster said it added 100,000 retail and wholesale customers in the UK in the quarter, more than double the number at the same time last year.

BT started broadcasting Champions League football in September, under a £897m, three-year deal that some ****ysts had said could lure subscribers from Sky.

However, the proportion of Sky customers who cancelled their subscription declined from 10.9 per cent a year ago to 9.8 per cent.

Jeremy Darroch, Sky’s chief executive, said the company had “sailed through” the period, although he noted that the increased competition has led to more discounts and promotions.

The broadcaster reported 134,000 new retail subscribers in the three months to September across the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria and Italy. That was 7 per cent more than in the same period last year.

As of today, I don't think any matches have been announced for the unfercard. I couldn't see any other info, anyway.

Keep spreading this myth that BT are gaining tons of subscribers while people are leaving sky sports in there thousands.

Champions league isn't a huge draw for people. Not over premier league in this country.

If you are gonna make these claims then at least print some real numbers from a credible source.

Except that article doesn't say how many they lost - they may have got new subscribers (and how they calculate that may be iffy, if you phone up to cancel but stay on a deal they could throw that in the new pot), the net subscriber number would be far more valid to the effect of BT on them as the BT offering is way better value than sky

Had to make a choice and chose Sky. Yes BT is cheaper but dont care much for CL and doesnt have that many PL games. The bubble will burst eventually when people will just say enough is enough.

Without PPV how do you expect this fight to be made?

Do you honestly think it could happen without the PPV revenue.

Not a chance frampton would take the fight without PPV revenue.
