This is all talk so as to not destroy his own credibility and alienate his fan base. Fury tried his best to lose some excess weight, and that was the extend of his " grueling preparation" for the Francis fight. He didn't take his boxing training seriously at all.

I don't know what's most stupid: thinking that Fury took that fight seriously or thinking that Fury wouldnt lie in an interview.

Too bad he actually did his best : “I didn’t underestimate him,” Fury said during an interview with IFL TV on Monday. “I trained for 12 weeks, [gave] it the best preparation I could’ve done. And that’s it.”

Copy paste this sentence on Google and you'll find the link.

That's BS, what champion gets knocked down early in the fight and doesn't take it seriously after that? That's unheard of and ridiculous to even suggest.

Hence why he was still looking for excuses ? : “We didn’t know how good he was or how bad he was,” Fury said. “There was no footage of him, never seen the man fight before as a boxer. And that was it. So, he was a lot more awkward than I thought he’d be. And he wasn’t walking [into] me. He was an awkward man. He was good at what he was doing, so fair play to him. Don’t take anything away from him. He give me a better fight than all the boxers did in the last 10 years. I think that’s been me toughest fight I’ve had for years.”

Fury was clearly lying. He lost some weight before the match, and that was it.

That's the problem of arguing with 40 messages casual guys. They read a Fury's interview and they believe every single word Fury said because they dont even know who the heck Fury is.

"but... but.... but.... but Fury took it seriously because he said it in an interview"

You can't have any rational discussion with fanboys, it's a waste of time. No matter what happens, Fury is the winner.

I mean if Ngannou beats Joshua : Fury lost because Ngannou is a freak of nature.

Then Joshua litteraly destroyed Ngannou : Fury didn't take the fight seriously.

He tried everything to win, even an elbow and still lost.

Why ? Because he's pillow fisted and physically weaker than Ngannou. Joshua can punch really really hard at least, here's the main difference. With Joshua's power, Fury would have easily won the fight, too bad his punches were way too weak for Ngannou.

But but but he didn't train while he always looked out of shape his whole career. His main attribute = dirty boxing (understand leaning all of his weight on his opponent).

So he always comes heavier than his opponent, too bad he could not bully Ngannou.

Ngannou would be great as Dylan Whyte's comeback.

Maybe give the guy a break because he lost to an ex-dominant champ who's back at the top of his game ... in his second fight.

Ngannou should find his level and get a win under his belt ... then go from there.

So Fury got knocked down & still was content to just do enough for a SD? Imagine the supposed champ getting knocked down in front of the whole boxing royalty by a rank novice & deciding that its still an "exhibition" instead of deciding that he needs to get up & prove a point like Johnson did against Ketchel

Whatever helps Fury fans cope with being unable to admit that he just isn't that good I guess

Fury went to an exhibition. Yes. He didnt give a flying **** about that fight, ngannou or whatever. He just didnt care. But I'm not discovering america, it was extremely obvious to anyone watching the fight. Fury didnt give a flying **** about this fight, zero, none at all. Is it the behaviour of a lazy *******? Yes ofc it is, but again, we are not discovering america by saying that Fury is a lazy *******.

He only went there to grab the money, that's the only thing he wanted to make that night. A fight vs a 0/0/0 guy with no belts at risk, he just couldnt care less. I would say even more, he spent many rounds carrying ngannou.

No it wasn't extremely obvious because if that was the case it would have been said by plenty of people in the live rbr thread at the time

Now we have even graduated to claiming that Fury "carried" him (by landing desperate illegal elbows I guess)

Don't change the narrative now after AJ exposed how garbage Fury is

Ali fought better in the second fight, in the third fight he just lay on the ropes covering in the early rounds and then it just turned into a brawl at least he moved more in the first fight and was in better condition.

He also stated tat he only trains for 5 weeks leading up to a fight now.
