    agreed

    I'd be happy with macklin/Barker
    Brook/Jones
    Cleverly/Brahmer

in fact 2 from 3 would be good

We want good fights, not just good fighters.

That's my main criticism of the show yesterday.

Some of these lads like Brook either need to be on a standard SFN show or put in with someone good. His original opponent had multiple KO losses at lower weights and the replacement was a bum.

    Sort it out!!

I'd prefer four or five genuinely good, near 50-50 fights than several mismatches.

    Preferably without British refs too.

Could be interesting is this where the wembley rumours could be coming from mentioned in Tris Dixons editorial in BN whilst this was the 30th big anniversary show i dont think he could truly make the fights he wanted to and was treading water until Brook Clev and Macklin world title fights came to fruition?

I'd actually like to see bellew vs cleverly after their fights on the weekend. i know a lot of people here say bellew not ready for cleverly yet, but he was getting well frustrated by the french fella. bellew power no joke and if he could add some extra dimensions to his game.......who knows. I think alot of people here would look forward to it, can you imagine the build up to the fight with those two at it?! neither of them would give an inch. pity more casual fans dont know the two of them because it would sell itself.

FW needs to be wary of putting on to many PPV Shows. How many times has Degale been on PPV now and it shows he is nowhere near as well known as Amir Khan and Audley Harrison where at the same stages of their careers. He is limiting his fighters exposure by permanently putting them on PPV. But by the same token if I had a choice of them being kept busy or not fighting at all, I know what I and anyone with a tenth of a brain would choose.

I thought the title read 'Frank's eyes even bigger'. I only came in here to agree with that statement until I realised what the topic was actually about.

Apparently Jones is having a rematch against his last oppo Karass in Feb so him v Brook wont happen. Brahmer is fighting in Jan against Shumenov so he'll not be out again until about April. Im not really bothered who they fight as long as its a tough 50/50 match up. I dont think Brook is world title level yet hes barely fought any1 at european level.

This is a blessing for Brook, get him in with as you say a decent European level operator. Clev could do with another slippery spoiler type, just to make him work on adding another dimension to his game and how to deal with having to open up his opponent and being patient. Macklin will definitely need another European Title defense and he will need to impress if he is to get a title shot. Not sure who Degale will take on Super Middleweight is fairly thin talent domestically outside of Degale, Magee and Groves. Not sure who else he might stick on, so wait and see.

I'm still not that impressed by Brook, nor do I rate his chances at World level at all.

Someone like Alfonso Gomez would be a perfect gauge.
