This fight could well steal the show on Saturday, two hard hitting heavyweight contenders putting it on the line. Who wins and why?
I have no idea. So excited for this one. Leaning toward Sanchez, though. Just hope it's great and the ending is conclusive. No controversies. I wish there were more matchups on the way up like this.
If Sanchez has a good night he can UD Efe or even KO him (depending on how sturdy that chin is) but Sanchez had so many off nights, so many lackluster performances and he can be very low volume too so it will be interesting to see how he deals with Ajagbas size and height. Sanchez fought a lot of smaller opponents so it will be very tricky for him. For me personally this is a total pick em' fight. Whoever shows up on fight night wins this IMO. And if both show up it's still a pick em'...
I'm favouring Sanchez. His edge in hand speed will see him beat Ajagba to the punch, his head movement should see him evade Ajagba's predictable attacks and his counter punching should see him punish Ajagba for his aggression. Yes Sanchez can blow hot and cold, I think as a counter puncher he needs opponents to come to him, he's not so effective if he has to press the action but against Ajagba who has slow feet and likes to work, he shouldn't have that problem. I'm thinking Sanchez stops him the 2nd half of the fight. I think it will be a good fight though, Ajagba superior size and power vs Sanchez's speed and skills, should be a nice mix of styles.
Sanchez looks really decent apart from power, which he seems light on. If his chin holds up he should win comfortably Ajagba does have solid power
I feel like Ajagba has very deceptive speed. He might clip Sanchez with a thunderous shot because of this but Sanchez will have him figured out overall and win a decision
I think Sanchez takes it. I'm not sure how Efe will hold up against Sanchez rough housing style at times. Gotta go with Sanchez as the more physical fighter. Efe needs to keep the fight at range but I don't think Sanchez will allow that. Plus Efe seems to need a slower tempo of a fight to be maximally effective and Sanchez baseline tempo seems higher than what Efe works best at. I see an uncomfortable night for Efe. At the same time I don't rate Sanchez that highly but this seems like a good fight for him.
True he isn't a big puncher but how much power does he need to beat Ajagba who was dropped hard by Kiladze. If Kiladze can drop him it's likely Sanchez can do.
