Frank says his loyalties lie with Degale!

In the Sun i just saw ****** said if Groves and Degale fight again he will be firmly in Degale's corner. If i was Groves hearing this i would certainly not be pleased at all, adds further confusement to me as why Groves joined ******?

Frank has complete rights to DeGale and has already invested £ in him. Groves he only has UK rights to. They will have known this when making the deal.

 

Golden Boy still own worldwide rights to Groves.

 

Nothing wrong or confusing about that, Degale is the bigger investment plus ****** is the sole promoter of him.

 

But Groves is the better fighter, sud. He's proven it twice. Fact.

Maybe it's my blind loyalty, but I still think Degale is the better fighter. I think he let his emotions get to him in their first fight and didn't really know how to deal with Groves boxing on the back foot.

I'd understand the emotional thing if he'd actually been aggressive, but he was just clueless. Facts are facts, Groves has beaten him twice. There's a reason for that.

 

What is this hanging onto DeGale stuff and even denying defeat. He lost because he wasn't good enough, tough enough or brave enough. He lost fair and square to the better fighter - simple as that.

I never saw anything special in him anyway, just a slapping bitchy style and childish attitude.

 

Not sure it's a fact that he's better. I love Groves and don't really rate DeGale much but take away their fights with each other and DeGale's achieved more.

DeGale might be able to win 1 out of 5.. not sure he'd win the next 3 though.

Tbh, I think he was clueless as he didn't anticipate Groves boxing on the back foot. Fingers could just as easily be pointed at Jim Mc for not having a plan B IMO. I think James is faster, stronger and picks his shots better than Groves. That's why it was such an upset

 

He has? Exclude the Olympics and he's achieved about the same. DeGale beat Smith, but Groves beat DeGale, vis a vis, he's achieved more. His pro career has better opposition too.

Beating Anderson, Adamu and DeGale > beating Smith, Dilks and Horton.

There's not much between them achievement-wise. Also, the proof is in the pudding: Groves has beaten DeGale twice which is a pretty unbeatable argument that he's better.

 

See, I'm not sure. If DeGale did those things better, he'd have won. He didn't. Even when he came forward most of his shots were slaps and usually hit Groves' arms. The only time he hurt George was when he head-butted him.

I do blame his ****wit of a trainer, but DeGale is surely experienced enough to handle an opponent on the backfoot? He's been boxing a long time as an amateur where that's a pretty common style.

 

I dont like Groves being signed to Frank Waren one bit! should have gone to matchroom.
