Frank W claiming Burns vs Mitchell will be tough to make

im sure if burns was asking the same you would say the same about him aswell rob .

Sorry but this just stinks of arrogence,burns is the champion end off ,no reason why he shoulld take less than mitchell .

would love if it did go to purse (but you know it wont) and Heanr won it ,imagine how annoyed War ren would be !

 

if promoted right I think this fight could do the world of good for the winner. The Brit general public like an all British world title fight so if Allegedly could get the press involved should Burns win he would build a bigger fan-base.

I do understand where people are coming from on Burns not getting a lot of credit but it will build if he keeps winning. They said Martinez was a fluke of sorts and then he had three **** fights which didn't help, he was highly wrote of against Katsidis and I think he got a fair bit credit for that win even if people believe Katsidis to be shot.

Go back about a year and a half ago and look at threads where Burns V Mitchell was mooted and a lot of people were picking Mitchell whereas now I think more people actually fancy Burns. Also he was laughed at in the Burns V Lopez thread and if you asked that again now I think you would get an entirely different response.

Also isn't a Mitchell fight a lot bigger to Burns than most other fights at the minute. Unless he goes up against Rios, Vasquez or DeMarco (counting Marquez out as he has jumped up) then what other fight is he going to get that is bigger than this one.

 

It's even more difficult now considering Ricky's people rejected the fight a few weeks ago. They were then offered Rees (which they accepted) but Gavin refused the fight over money.

60-40 split in Burns' favour is fair IMO. Kevin shouldn't be asking for any more than 45%. No chance.

 

Hearn wouldn't do a fight where niether fighter could show up to press confrences or do press arrangments like with Bellew.

 

Before I opened this thread, I knew you'd be in here sticking up for Mitchell

Frank wanted options also, apparently.

 

A well prepared Mitchell would have signed the contract.

Thing is also cost,as fair as im aware Airdrie offerd the sradium for free abd that still stands,cpuld get some in there,now before you all start going on about west ham ,if they are going to charge ****** a fee ,and there is more money to be made from a smaller.stadium with lower running costs aswell ,

If Burns wasnt with Allegedly I think he would already have more recognition and fanbase and it would grow alot quicker if he continues to beat top opposition.

 

If he wasn't with Frank he would never have got shots at Martinez or Katsidis.

Well he doesn't draw crowds or probably get high TV ratings.

 

I can be pretty sure that no other promoter in this country has the pull to get a WBO mandatory position off the back off a win over a journeyman.

It does change things because if he couldn't get big fights like that he wouldn't be at the level he's at today, even with the crap fights he's had.

 

A Fit and Focused Mitchell deserves more than burns to be honest and the less fit and focused the less he should get paid imo.
