Frank Warren and the WBU

    Frank gets allot of stick on hear for WBU title fights, there are always post with saying "khan/mitchell...............will fight for the wbu instead of fighting for domestic titles.

    I think its worth pointing out that Warren has not put a WBU title fight on his cards for 18 months, and has as many british/commonwealth champions as any other promoter.

    Its actually other promoters that continue to push bogus belts like the WBU and IBO

    thats because sky wont show them is it not ??

    i think warrens last few big cards have been great bar the rogan sexton rematch which had a poor undercard

    to be fair cleverly and the olympians were supposed to be on there but rogans injury messed it up.

    sky are showing matthew hatton for the IBO

    yeah the fight sold itself aswel i think warren knew that and made a nice few quid off the show with a weak undercard

    i think they are showing this because of ricky hatton tbh

    sky have been sucking his dick for years

    Frank Warren has put a fair few WBO "world title" fights on in his time too!

    Warren should really be getting his young fighters out far more often. Fight 20 times a year..........not 4

    Not sure what thread but I think I praised Warren earlier today. He can be a twat but he does alot of good too and pushing the domestic titles even at Sky's orders has been a good thing. Hopefully we do not get stupid IBO fights every Friday from now on.

    Warren don't show WBU fight anymore as moorser said Sky won't allow it (the M.Hatton IBO title fight has managed to slip through the net though....) therefore Warren has managed to make the Commonwealth title the new WBU title during that time...

    I agree.

    Sky have been a bit hypocritical in stopping Warren (and others) showing WBU fights...... yet allowing Hatton to promote an IBO event as a world title.

    As Dan-B has said, the less we refer to them the better - but we shouldn't be surprised. Sky are Hatton's biggest nuthugger.
