frankie gavin-beautiful boxing

i could watch that fight over and over, it seems although lomax looked terrible frankie was dam near perfect. calm composed and incredibly smooth with a sniper rifle jab and a solid straight left and great body shots that for me he didn't throw enough of but then again he's not an inside fighter. at times he did seem a little hesitant but his great head movement made up for that. lomax was slow but even so he barley touched him and what he missed he was countered with. every time lomax made his attempts of an attack frankie moved well, switched well an was good on the back foot. im glad to see he's filled out a little to it's made him seem more dominating but he doesn't do as much in out fighting witch i liked to see. also i reckon their a lack of power as i thought he would of had lomax koed earlier. still i enjoyed the fight and would of still been happy if it went the 12 because it was a master class and a pleasure to watch. id pick him to beat kell brook unanimously on points.

Thanks but I hurt my hand in round 2 left should be out in April an I will look at video when I go home an if I slapped will defo work on that

 

I never noticed it from him before and only saw the last 2 rounds of this fight, but there was some slapping going on in those flurries. Hopefully it was just tiredness as he was trying pretty hard to finish Lomax off.

He's hard to hit if your Michael Lomax. I don't think his elusiveness has transferred from the ams to the pros as much.

Good fighter but I think Brook would give him a good hiding, to be honest.

Well done Frankie onwards and upwards. Would be too good for Theophane, who'l likely go back to the states and vacate didnt seem too commited on defending it when asked afterward

 

I'm down too 140 an want the British an won't stop it was the only fight I could get but defo light welter an want theopane next

 

I was pretty impressed with the performance too. Did a lot of very subtle things well, and I was very impressed with the accuracy.
