It's a short career mate. Macklin is one of the few who will be able to look back on his career and know he made the most of it because he didn't just stay somewhere to keep other people happy. He's slowed nobody down but himself, but in doing so has gained alot of experience and seasoning. Frankie, have you ever thought about doing a 4/6 week stint in the States? Think the sparring over there would be right up your street. One of the things I could never get my head around, you went from sparring the England team, and attending camps all over the World sparring the elite, to sparring Matt Hall and Ronnie Heffron....just a thought. off topic WWF for life, never called it WWE and never will on topic good move, there was one thread where frankie made a joke about arnie's mum, and I remember at the time thinking trainer and fighter shouldn't be that at ease with each other To me there needs to be a disconnect. I'm probably reading way too much into it

Lived in Brum and Manchester, now you're a semi celeb with money living in London. He'll need some real self discipline... that hasn't been too evident so far in his career.
Get this one right Frankie. Khan and Haye aside, you`re the most talented boxer the UK has had for many, many years, but you are about as far from where you should be as I could ever have envisaged.
He's a great lad and will hopefully do great things in boxing! This is not about coaching it's personal reasons. He will b fine though
I feel for you Arnie i know you love working with the lad. Frankie i hope it works out for you and if your going to Tibbs then i think it will work out really well. Man is class and also is a old head and been there and seen it. Might boost your London fanbase as well, plus you can meet Rob and he can show you his ripped torso and how to get a six pack.
Excellent post. Even doing a 3-4 week stint every camp in thee states with the best sparring available. With "World Amateur Champion" on his CV he'd be welcomed into any gym in America. Great move to Jimmy Tibbs, but it again depends on the quality of sparring.
I think it's a mistake personally, but good luck to him..... Can't help but think something is amiss here.
