hes not the brightest. tweeted some bollocks about being a good person by surrounding yourself with good people and does that after, silly chap. no wonder hes done very little as a pro
As fragile as khan is. He's still levels above Gavin. Not that that is saying much. Don't rate Gavin at all.
How on earth can anyone say Frankie is a bum, well give me a gym full of them I would become a wealthy coach.
Worth reminding ourselves of Gavin's wonderful career. http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=482497&cat=boxer It's now 4 months since Gavin beat world ranked 183 Jason Welbornat a packed Walsall Town Hall. No signs yet of a new fight date.
this ??? gavin comes across as a chav type anyway so no surprise if his friends are calling khan a pak1
Fine.. Khan was hurt by a well past prime, old lightweight. Khan has spent the majority of his high level fights at 140lbs, and has grown into the division as he moved into his 20's and his prime was clearly at 140. Diaz on the other hand was prime at lightweight, and was never a massive banger to begin with.
I think the stylistic matchup favours Gavin, in the sense that he's got the attributes to take advantage of the weaknesses that Khan makes, especially bumrushing in and being awfully open to counters. However, Frankie hasn't competed at anything like the level at which Khan has proven himself, his last opponent was ****ing rubbish, I'd never heard of him.... to be honest his best win is over Curtis Woodhouse. He might also be past his best too, considering he's nearly 28 and has lead a questionable lifestyle at various times. You'd put your house on Khan to win this.
It probably wouldn't be a bad thing if our world level boys occasionally dropped down to domestic level for a fight just to keep things in perspective. Like Haye fighting Chisora. Whatever Khan is or isn't he's leagues ahead of the likes of Gavin.
