Appalling circular logic. If you don't understand why the board are at fault, you clearly need to do a basic course in business.
Just read this. Absolutely amazing, I have always thought Frank was a total and utter ****. But he actually has the board grabbing their ankles, and I don't understand why they don't just **** off and have a bit of a sulk and then get over it. If they keep mouthing off I think Frank might, almost literally, **** them.
Hmm you may have a point...Someone tell Frank to refund those 20,000 tickets. Looks like we all got it wrong fellas. You're clearly a man who has far more common sense than the rest of us....
Thats a matter of opinion. Personally i don't care. I'm a fan of boxing. Therefore when two premier heavyweights are going to have a rumble il always be there to watch.
Don't do it! I nearly bought shares in sports network once! There are companies run to grow over the long term and there are companies run for the convenience of their Directors ( and not necessarily all shareholders)
Great letter. The BBBoC is clearly ran by a bunch of pillocks. It's been clear from the start there wasn't anything they could legally do about the Haye-Chisora fight. Instead of trying to work it out however, they've tried to bully the people involved. Now FW's called their bluff and the BBBoC looks even more stupid than they already did.
What is great about it (franks complaint) My Complaint My concern is that by issuing the threat contained in your press release you are trying to stop me from being involved in a legitimate and lawful fight governed by another Federation and to interfere with my freedom to work and to earn a living. I am worried that you have taken this decision not because you are really concerned about the fight (for the reasons I set out above) but because you are fearful that you will lose your monopoly in the UK. I require written confirmation that you will not seek to take away my licence if I remain Dereck Chisoras manager. As you have catapulted this issue into the press, then I consider it is reasonable for me to seek your confirmation by close of business on Wednesday 16 May 2012. If I do not receive your confirmation then you will receive a formal complaint from my solicitors followed by proceedings (including injunctive relief should they consider it necessary and appropriate). Of course there may well be issues of costs and damages associated with your actions and I put you on notice that I will be seeking these also if so advised. I look forward to hearing from you. Kind Regards, Frank (THINK ABOUT IT) The board are not trying to stop the fight, they are simply saying, if any bbboc license holder takes part in this fight they will cease to be a member of the bbboc, they are therefore not stopping the fight, they are saying if you want to break away from our controll then that is the position. they are also not stopping anyone from making a liveing (just wont be with us) ie if you get banned from a casino, it does not stop you joining the casino down the road. So if i was boxing on this show i would have to be pritty sure, that another Federation would be better than the bbboc, or i may have just shot myself in the foot, atsch
I just don't see how the BBBofC can remove an individuals licence for boxing on a legally recognised boxing show:huh British fighters fight all over the world every weekend on shows licenced by other governing bodies and it in no way means that they are breaching the code of conduct. Just what is the difference here?!
