Enzo's mistake wasn't as bad as Khans silly little one in there Vs Prescott.

I must admit that I don't quite get this Enzo 'mistake' thing.

He just seemed to get beat by a superior guy to me.

There seems to be a rather large tribe of Enzo Maccarinelli supporters on here, I can't say I'm quite such a huge fan as them of his ability as a boxer.

I used to like the ESSO tiger if that counts, however.

I just rewatched Hatton v Manny Pac, and just like Enzo v Haye, I have to say it's clear that Hatton was dominating Manny the entire fight, right up until the one silly little mistake that cost him dearly.
He clearly outboxes Manny, and even staggers him at one point. Apparantly PBF has been studying the fight video, and claims Ricky has unlocked the secret to beating Manny, just like Enzo did with Haye...

    No.

    Its not PK.

But - I believe I know who it is - behind all of the aliases.

    I have no evidence though.

Enzo is not even that Dunk.

He is a small Crusierweight - who walks comfortable inside the limit even in his prime.

And there has been recent talk of him boiling down to Light Heavyweight.

Whats shocking is though - watch the Forgemeni fight again ?

Little guy - taking Haye apart - but he couldnt punch - so Haye clung on.

That was a different style fight though.

But I agree - Enzo and Wlad are same types - upright - tall - with fast hands and a solid jab - and super power in the right hand -

Haye is a bit out of his depth.

I was at York Hall that night and I think Haye probably took Fragomeni a bit too lightly. The guy wasn't a big puncher but was tough as nails and kept up a decent pace that Haye struggled with.

Haye also got cut very badly and I think that got to him quite a bit. It actually started to look like Haye may have been heading for a loss at times, but when he stepped his game up it was over pretty quick.

Although Haye is a better fighter now, it does make me worry that Haye can be broken down over the course of a long fight, and Wlad does have a style to exploit that.

Looks like there's a school of thought that has

    Maccarinelli EVT2 Haye

Enzo clearly dominated the first 4 minutes of the fight. The fight was stopped prematurely as well and this was proven the way Enzo argued with the referee. If he was unable to continue, why would he have been able to argue? He even did a quick Ali-like shuffle on his feet to prove he was ok!

I think we all know it was a 50/50 fight where whoever landed the first big punch would have won. Unfortunately for Enzo, despite easily controlling the first round, he was unable to land that final punch to finish off Haye and then a quick flurry of feather-fisted pillow slaps came from David Haye and the ref's stopping the fight.

If any proof is needed, why hasn't Haye given Maccarinelli a rematch since? Why did he and Tomasz Adamek run away from the cruiserweight division?

It hasn't stopped Enzo Maccarinelli's career though. Since their fight, the Welshman has fought a higher level of opposition in Ola Afolabi, Denis Lebedev, Alexander Kotlobay and Alexander Frenkel.

Haye has fought Monte Barrett, Nikolay Valuev, John Ruiz and Audley Harrison.

    Close thread.

I loved the way he looked down at his gloves when he beat them together. He was clearly letting the ref know "Look, I still have my fists, I'm good to go!"

If Haye hadn't been staggered by Enzo, he would never have found those punches to finish the fight. He was like a wounded tiger...
