Lance is just an idiot poster in which he thinks everything he said is right. I cant believe he's actually defending Roach comments "i dont like catchweights" when Roach was the one that wanted Pac to fight catchweights vs bigger fighters to protect him and have an advantage in Pacquiao favor. <<<Roach even admit it by saying that. Oscar vs Pacquiao was at 147 pounds but Roach knew from day one that even though Pacquiao have to move up 2 weight class, he knew Oscar (who hasnt fought at ww in over 8 years) would destroyed his body badly and will look like a zombie in which he was right. Roach knew Oscar was a shot dehydrated fighter. Roach wanted Cotto fight Pac at catchweights. After Mosley ko Margarito, Roach even said that the reason pac wont fight mosley at ww limit cause mosley isnt a shot fighter like oscar.
I know man and even some *******s would agree that Roach's statement is ridiculous. Roach does the catchweights on purpose to affect his opponents. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=278105 He claimed he wanted Floyd at a catchweight because he wasnted to "take a little something away from him" That's anj exact quote
Over 25 thousand posts say you do. There isn't a single Pacquiao thread where you don't throw in your 2 cents. Let go a little. You might sleep better. On topic. Freddie is like any one of us. He'll do and say anything to stay away from weaknesses and handicaps. He's in the fighting business after all. Pacquiao has had a long career and only his last few fights are both idolized and scrutinized at the same time. People forget he had a huge career before Oscar and even before Morales. Personally, I enjoy watching those old fights to the current careful match making fights he's been involved in.
i definitely believe roach has no problem with catchweights. infact when you mention the word catchweight, freddie roach comes to mind
All this catchweight business is blown out of proportion. Manny's titles at 112, 122, 126, 130, 135, 140, 147 were all legit and at the REAL weight limits. It's only 2 fights that were true difference making catchweights. The Cotto fight was at 145. Cotto had just came in voluntarily at 146 in his previous fight against Clottey. I don't really think that it was a huge deal, but never the less it was a catch weight fight. Marquez was actually bigger than Manny on the night, he weighed up more by about 3lbs. So that wasn't a big deal either. Let's get to Oscar. De La Hoya came down 1 weight limit and Manny came up 2. They had to make the fight fair. Was Manny supposed to go up 3 weight divisions? Let's not forget also that Oscar was planning on coming down to fight Floyd at welterweight anyway. Margarito was a career welterweight, they actually did him a favour by making the fight at 150lbs. How could anyone have complained if they had asked a career welter to come in at 147.
:huh Are you aware of what I said Rudy? Or do you just prefer to play this stupid game every ****in day. All I said was, Roach is the trainer. He doesn't set up the weights does he? No, his promoter and Pac's manager do that. Ropach traines the fighter. So, without coming off as a total *******, try and explain WHAT I said that's so wrong please.
Are you ever serious? Or do you seriously come to ESB just to talk ****? You're treating roach as if HE is the one who insists on catchweights then said this ****. Hey, I know trying to reason with you is a stretch, you'll most lilkey reply with some juvenile **** not even attempting to discuss the topic. But it's worth the effort.
Look *******., I berate posters who just talk ****. In case you haven't noticed, there's a lot of that. NOTHING i said was me trying to talk tough *******. atsch Are you ****in serious? Look ******, you jumped into something you had no reason to. You just want to talk ****, and then you give ME a hard time for that. **** off child.... Thanks drama queen...thanks for jumping in tp add NOTHING that I don't already get from floyd fanboys.
