Well Pac makes most great boxers look pathetic on pads...having said that...ricky hatton and Margo looked 10 times better then any mma guy I have seen....that's the nature of focused training (plus most wrestlers tend to be really tight and slow with punches unless they work really hard on their striking).

I remember seeing a video of Roger Mayweather training fighters at Wand Fight Team a while back. In fact, some of the boxing related videos Mayweather has been in, you can notably see him wearing a Wand Fight Team t-shirt.

The video was on a site that's down now, Mighty Gloves, but I distinctly remember him telling one guy that he "must have boxed before" because he was doing everything Mayweather told him. That guy was Kit Cope, former Muay Thai champion who also appeared on two episodes of MTV's "True Life"; one about Muay Thai back in the day, and another later on about Mixed Martial Arts when he began his road back from injury to become a champion in MMA as well.

Seeing distinguished boxing coaches working with high level MMA guys bodes well for them and could also bode well for MMA fans giving more respect to boxing as a sport by recognizing that these men dedicated their life to the Sweet Science and are the best option to improve a mixed martial artist's boxing game.

EDIT: Here's the link to the video http://www.viddler.com/explore/mightygloves/videos/110/

Good post...the only thing I would say...not really in disagreement, but just as an add on...is this. The trainer does need to be aware that some things in regard to stance and ducking do need to be different....I think some guys take it to far...you don't need to be totally squared up....but you can't be in a Ali stance either...you should duck a big hook (unlike what some mma trainers will say) but can't go down to low, or stay low...due to knees....Roach even talks about how it is different...and how he needed to learn those differences....I'm not sure if Roger would have the samw kind of humble about his game (actually I'm sure he wouldn't).

Fair enough, maybe I was wrong or at least overstated it.

Yeah but he mentions in the beginning of that video, you can't really hear it cause of the noise, but he mentions kicking and things like that as far as striking goes and I believe he goes a little into stance in regards to how MMA and boxing is different.
