Forgive me if this has been posted already. I rewatched the first Pac/DLH 24-7 and was taken aback by Freddie Roach's comment...

Roach said that he was upset that people were saying he was putting his fighter at risk simply for a big payday. So upset that he said he would not take a penny if Pacquiao loses.

    Any validity to this?

he's said it from the start before the fight was even signed. is it written into the contract? i have no idea.

i would not be surprised if he got payed but donated most of it to charity afterwords.

Hoya will fill his offshore account with plenty of green$ just for talking Manny into this freak show.

He said he OFFERED Pacman to not take any money if he lost. But that doesn't mean Pacman didn't insist on paying him despite Roach's offer. I bet you he's getting paid handsomely.

Yea right, it would be better if Roach would have said he would donate his share to Pacman's hospital bills!

    Roach doesn't need the money.

He practically lives in the gym, ask James Toney.

    Roach is teh man. :good

Freddie Roach is going to get paid more by Oscar behind close door. This is a business move by Roach, Pac, and Oscar.

    Its easy to say.
There is no way Pac would accept this and not pay him.
