1. Money 2. Marquez 3. Ward 4. Rigo 5. Wlad 6. Pac 7. Donaire 8. Mares 9. Froch - lost to top in division, better opponents than Bradley's. 10. Bradley - lost to top in division, worse opponents than Froch's. Martinez is not in it anymore. He lost to Murray IMO AND looked past prime. At his age, there's no coming back.
1. Mayweather Jr 2. Ward 3. Marquez 4. Wlad 5. Mares 6. Rigondeaux 7. Pacquiao 8. Donaire 9. Froch 10. Martinez
He definitely deserves to be in there! Mayweather Ward Marquez Martinez Wlad Rigondeaux Froch Pacquiao Mares Donaire
It has gotten more difficult to make the p4p top 10 recently with Rigo, Mares and now Froch making solid claims not to be out of it. Mayweather - obvious choice Marquez - Win over Pac sees him higher than Ward Ward - Good recent resume, skilled. Could be future num 1 Rigo - Super skilled, schooled a top 4 guy last time Wlad - Most dominant champ around today, so much better than the others in his division Pac - Beat Bradley, was winning until ko6 against fellow ATG, still deserves his place here Martinez - Slipped a little when looking poor vs Murray, but still prevailed. His days in p4p are now numbered though you feel Mares - Good win over PDL cemented his place. Multiple weight champ. Donaire - Schooled by Rigo but top 4 before that loss and fighter of the year 2012 Froch - Two very good wins vs Bute and Kessler have him in top 10. Great toughness Broner - Drops from my list due to lack of depth in resume. Will be back in when/if he beats Malunaggi well Bradley - Lost to Pacquaio and went life and death with his sparring partner
Here's mine 1. Floyd Mayweather Jr. 2. Juan Manuel Marquez 3. Sergio Gabriel Martinez 4. Andre Ward 5. Wladimir Klitschko 6. Manny Pacquiao 7. Abner Mares 8. Carl Froch 9. Guillermo Rigondeaux 10. Nonito Donaire
This. With PAC and Donaire losing, Martinez semi retires and looking poor, and Rigo only having one great win, Froch could feasibly be number 5 or 6 which is ****ing mental. 1. Floyd 2. Marquez 3. Ward 4. Martinez 5. Froch 6. Mares 7. Rigondeaux 8. Wlad 9. Donaire 10. Pacquiao Skill wise, rigondeaux is higher but he only has one big win. Martinez and PAC will be gone soon IMO and Wlad has a slight drop due to poor competition.
Broner should be no where near the top 10, Martinez lost against Murray so he should be out Froch has a better claim to the top 10 than both of the above
LOL At ppl putting Wlad in top 10 P4P for fighting bums but not even having Froch top 10 Kessler 2 Yusaf Mack Lucian Bute Andre Ward Glen Johnson Arthur Abraham Mikkel Kessler Andre Dirrell Jermain Taylor Jean Pascal Now compare that to the bum of the month club
My personal take: 1. Mayweather 2. Marquez* 2. Ward* 4. W Klitschko 5. Rigondeaux 6. Donaire** 7. Pacquiao 8. Mares 9. Bradley 10. Hopkins^ * I have Marquez and Ward tied since, depending on the day and how I am thinking, I may reverse the order of ranking them. ** I think Donaire should not fall as much as I have seen on most peoples' lists. He only lost to Rigondeaux, who was quite a tough challenge. He still has a stellar record and skillset. He just needs to get back to work. ^ P4P is subjective and allows for emphasis and synthesis of achievements, resume, H2H (in one's class and P4P), etc, but I think that in viewing all 3 of those combined, Hopkins barely eeks out over Froch. Froch has a great resume, but I just don't think he would be successful if he moved up to 175. Conversely, Hopkins has done well from 160 through 175, and I think can beat or at least be competitive with a good number of cruiserweights. I also think he can engage a pretty fair catchweight with respect to the super middleweight division, and I further opine he can beat most SMWs. I guess I should express with that last paragraph that the #10 spot is a toss-up between Froch and Hopkins for me, but the rationale I offered is why I think Hopkins makes it into the list instead of Carl.
