not against hatton he didn't, don't know why buddy mcgirt got so much **** from malignaggi and the fans, mcgirt told him not to throw the uppercut from the outside because hatton was countering him over the top, he throws it anyway and gets wobbled badly by a counter over the top. mcgirt told him to double the jab and stop ducking and holding, malignaggi continued to throw single jabs and duck and hold for dear life every time hattons got close. I remember a good sequence in the corner when Floyd Sr was telling Hatton to "counter the jab over the top with the right hand" and it cut to mcgirt in malignaggis corner saying "hes trying to counter your jab with a that right hand over the top"
Good advise from froch:thumbsup. Khan is deluded as you could be he will get knocked out again you can bet your life on it..........
Froch needs to stfu about Khan, he has a real chip on his shoulder. Just because Khan became very recognised and drew many lucrative paydays it doesnt mean he has the devine right to.
In the end. Who's got more money in their bank account? Khan Who's headlined Las Vegas more? Khan Who's more known around the world? Khan Who has more Twitter fans? Khan Who is ahead p4p? Froch I like Froch as a fighter but he's a disrespectful twat. He always was a cocky ****, from saying he would knock Calzaghe lights out to claiming he ended Kesslers career. Although he has the best resume of any fighter p4p, he has no charisma and will never make as much money as Khan. When Froch was 25, he was about to turn pro, so he should try and shut the **** up. Froch is a much better fighter than Khan but they are both as cocky as each other, the difference being that Khan is 9 / 10 years younger.
I'd agree with Froch, khan is young, healthy and wealthy, he's not built for taking big shots on the chin, and seems determined to slug it out, (which hes **** at) instead of trying to take direction and box carefully from the outside, with a tight, high guard like he did against kotelnik. Khan could have a few decent fights left in him, but IMO he's never going to be elite, nor beat anyone elite. He's rich, young, and still has his health, unless he wants to fight at euro level (which I don't think he will) he should get out while the goings good, and relax and enjoy the cash he's made and hopefully avoid Parkinson's etc in later life.
Froch has the respect of his peers. Money doesn't matter now, he's set for life, when Froch retires the people that matter will hold him in high regard, he will be content knowing he'd fought everybody he could.
I meant Froch has come crawling out of the woodwork as soon as Khan loses by KO (something he's probably been waiting for since the Prescott defeat).
Khan is still only 25yrs old, If he still has the hunger to fight on then why not, his fights are never boring. I guess when Khan calls it a day, then it will remind us there are or were not many fighters who could showcase such handspeed and heart, Khan is good for boxing, hopefully he comes back stronger.
Don't really know what Froch is getting at here, absolutely no way Khan should retire, the point is boxing is about entertainment, and like him or hate him Khan provides it, he's always gonna be able to demand big fights, venues etc because people are gonna tune in to watch himfight, you don't know whether he's gonna put on a masterclass or get knfo, its gripping stuff to watch, who really gives a **** about how many Ls he has, he brings entertainment to the table and as a fight fan there really isn't any more we can ask for us there. People can say all the crap in the world about him being a bellend or his lack of skills but you still all lose a good nights sleep to watch him fight.
