Froch beat Taylor because he's more skilled.

So being smarter and the better fighter has nothing to do with skill?

You do realize that Mayweather said his greatest asset is his intelligence, right?

Well he did mention that he had images of the Pavlik fight. I would assume that would be pretty nerve racking, wouldn't you?

Smarter fighter in making Taylor fight his fight. Taylor is a mental midget in the ring. I said in my prediction if Taylor fought Froch's fight he would lose and he did.

Taylor fought his normal fight. Taylor just isn't a very skilled fighter. He has good reflexes, power, speed, and strength, but other than that is painly amatuerish.

I think you're speculating more than I like to. I'll stick to what I saw.

Taylor's punch output started to drop markedly in the middle rounds. Its a pattern that I've seen in several of his fights. And according to Froch himself it was the basis of the gameplan he had for the fight. Get Taylor into the latter rounds and attack.

No joke that "speed and power" are not skills. Technically Froch is raw. His technique is a bit ameturish and he has a rugid, pressure kind of stlye. What Carl lacks in those areas of skills he more than makes up for with his heart, will and chin. But you are clowning yourself if you believe that Carl has better skills or fundementals in the sweet science than Jermain. It's just not so.

One guy won the boxing match. The other guy won the fight. That's really not that uncommon.

Dude. You really have no clue. You have a hard time grasping the concept of skills as it relates to boxing. If Froch was so skilled and Jermain was ameturish then Froch would have been leading on the cards and wouldn't have needed the KO to win. It came down to Carls will to win and his fighting spirit/heart that allowed him to come from behind and win the only way he could have going into the 12th round. And that was of course to get the KO! It was skills, finesse and experience vs power, strength and determination. The later came through.

    Man I swear...You're a dumb mother****a....Did you even watch the fight??:verysad

To say Froch is more skilled is non-sense....Froch won because he was determined and had the better conditioning of the two...Thats a fact!

Taylor's clearly more skilled. Froch is very raw- though I was impressed by how he worked the jab in the second half of the fight. But Taylor's stamina, which is always in question, got worn down against the much bigger fighter. He was a sitting duck by round 12.

What exactly impresses you about Jermain Taylor so far as his skills are concerned?

I think he's very amateurish. He's a fighter that seems unable to adapt to his opponent, and it's looking more and more that when he was a middleweight he relied on speed, power, and size more than anything else to win fights.
