froch has done more in his short career than all of joes.

    and he's only just begun.

froch must be rubbing his hands together now at all the fights he can have, like a kid in a candy shop.

Froch is a throwback? He's had one fight where he went to America and defended his title. Fair dos, lots of credit to him, wish more champions would do the same sort of thing, etc.

But it's one fight. Prior to a few months ago he was being criticised for fighting bums in Nottingham, and reaching 31 without managing to secure a fight above commonwealth level. Now he's a throwback to some bygone era just because he fought his mandatory on foreign turf?

People blow in the wind so much around here that he's probably only one or two fights away from most of ESB labelling him a stay at home tomato can merchant again anyway. Just ask Mikkel Kessler or Kelly Pavlik.

Froch is what he is a limited slugger. But he has balls of iron and did what Joe REFUSED point blank to do. He won a legit recognised world title and went on to beat one of the USA's best and most notable names in boxing despite the odds being stacked against him. Thats a throwback wether you want to admit it or not. There was nothing stopping Froch from treading the same WBO SN path. Facts remain he has not and hasnt had that intention since the beginning of his career. As far as im concerned talent aside that sets him worlds apart from an opportunist like Joe.

Who did he refuse to fight? The only occasion I can think of was when Hopkins refused to fight him.
