Froch even exceeded my expectations against Bute! What a tremendous performance!

Froch is an iron-chinned warrior! :happy

He is effectively the #1 SMW if Kessler stays at light heavy, and Ward does the same after the Dawson clash if it winds up being at Chad's home weight.

In all honesty I don't think I have pushed the overdrive button. I think you're just not yet recognizing the magnitude of this career-defining win. It's the DRAMA of it all that will help this one be a topic that rears it's head often in boxing forums long after Froch and Bute have both retired.

    I believe this sincerely.

The version of Froch who beat Bute would stop the Kessler who beat Green, IMO (if it is at 168-70.....I believe Kessler-Green was 172?)

Ward has NOTHING left at 168 now. He needs to fight Dawson at 75!

    :yep

It is amazing that Carl said that. He also said in a previous interview:

    http://www.ontheropesboxingradio.com...hing”/

FROCH: Well if I’m looking for a tough fight it wouldn’t be against Lucian Bute because that wouldn’t be a tough fight, would it now? It would be an easy fight!

He should be #1, as now Ward really should move up to 175.

    WTF are you talking about?

Kessler beat Froch close but clear, and Ward comfortably beat Froch...not very close at all.

They're both light heavies now, though. Cobra #1!!!

Does ANYONE have anything to prove at SM anymore? Surely that should be left to the young pups and the remenets of Bute while the rest make merry at Light Heavy.

I agree with with the regression of Kessler, (although I thought he beat Froch in Denmark). Froch/Kessler 2; you'd have to favour Froch; and parity suggests that it should be in England.

    It was close and competitive.

When I watched it live I had it 115-113 for Kessler. When I watched it the next night I saw it 114-114.

The one thing about Froch is he truly did evolve as a fighter throughout the course of the Super Six. Especially in terms of ring IQ.

We had floor seats near the podium at the back, looking at Bute's face while he was waiting to do his ring walk you could tell the crowd and occasion were getting to him.

Did it remind anyone else of Benn-Galvano? But better performance (even given home advantage). It was sheer force of will - as well as strength - from first bell that Bute couldnt handle.

I had Kessler by one before but got to think Froch smashes him now judging by their last two performances.

I'm watching it again now, it really was an unbelievable performance. I was very wrong about Bute but nobody could have predicted that level of performance.
