It's a more desirable fight than Dirrell. Your right, at that stage of his career, Calzaghe was not punching terribly hard. Perhaps Froch will go to the body and also good upper cuts. Also, how much as the inactivity affected Kessler? Everyone should be getting behind Froch.

firmly in the camp that kessler has too much but damn it i'm getting behind froch all the way, he'll have a right go and i reckon he'll surprise a lot of these posters who feel he'll just get blown away.

No, I just gave a recent example, which I am certain he was familiar with. The rest you say is a pretty good indicator. Many with much less fights, facing lesser opponents have not passed very well. I.e Ward from this tourney - at least not relatively speaking.

Glass-liver? Do you know anything of boxing? Going down from a perfect shot to the liver is a natural response. Much like a temple shot. And we will never know if he would have since the ref intervined.

If 42 fights is not enough for you, with about 7 then current champs, or former - then I guess very little will. Kessler will never be a Israel Vasquez-kind of guy.

Yes, that is so, but no one boxes 42 fights without being chin-checked, not even PBF.

I know plenty about boxing... But we are seeing things diffently I guess. Your basing your oppionion on Kesslers chin on the fact that he has not shown any problems so far in his career (other than he was wobbled early in the Sartison fight and recovered almost instantly).

I on the other hand wont rate his chin because it has not been a factor in any of his 42 fights so far. My point is that even if he had an below average chin his record would be the same. Hypothecally of course.

Well, if you won't see the proof displayed as proof, then you can counter-argument yourself, that Kesslers level of chin is unimportant, and therefore making the whole question invalid and uninteresting for future bouts.

That is my point exactly: What you see as proof, is indecisive evidence for me. This is not about right or wrong but merely a matter of perception.

So your point is, that you have no point?

My point is that Kesslers chin is to untested, for me to give it a rating.

Kessler by 8th or 9th rd knockout, Froch is too wide open for Kessler's hard precise shots.

Which is rather pointless, because you have already counter-argumented yourself.
