There were dozens of posts Saturday and Sunday about how Ward was good. Don't be jealous because we don't ***** Froch. Froch is the one taking a big fight right away. Ward has chosen the build up way. It is less spectacular in the short term but should pay in the long term. If he does face Bute.

    Well, I disagree.

He only turned pro at 25 years old and has less than 30 fights on his record. 9 years pro and 28 fights is young in boxing terms. I think he's got a good few years left in him yet.

By way of comparison, Bute has been pro for longer and has had more fights.

choosing the best option for his career right now and being a warrior are not mutually exclusive in this case...DUMBASS. carl froch is coming off of a thorough loss against the top super middleweight in the world, in addition to fighting nothing but, top super middleweights for the entire tournament and before that, now, regardless if he's making a good business move, froch is fighting the second most (or most, to some) dangerous super middleweight in the world, after coming off of his most definitive loss. that's what most boxing pundits and anyone who knows boxing would call a WARRIOR. comparing victor ortiz and carl froch considering both of their careers is a statement that just exposed you as person who is incapable of analysis, with no serious boxing knowledge.

I don't want people to ***** about Froch, I got nothing bad to say about him. Why are people taking this thread as a diss? I just wanna bring some fans back to reality. Boxing is a business, that warrior/revenge/bad blood stuff is for kids and mainstream fans.

Bute has only been in one punishing fight his whole career. Froch has been in at least 3.

    ****ing nob ed haters.

Froch went on record saying that if he was to find himself in a situation where he had to fight lesser fights he would retire cos he wouldn't be able to get up for the fight. Personally I think Froch would have fought bute even if he won the s6.. Negotiations had been ongoing before the final and he and bute nearly fought just after Carl beat pascal..

Froch is a warrior, a throwback fighter who is scared of nothing, not scared of travelling into the lions den and not scared of loosing.. This is why it would have been better for boxing if he had the skill to have beaten ward cos now all we can hear is "bute needs to fight better opp before he fights me"

I'm not saying you can't be both, I'm saying you can't conclude that he's a warrior because he's taking a fight that represents the best option for him. That's just stupid. Like any other fighter, Froch takes fights that make financial sense. If you wanna believe that he selects opponents because they're good then more power to you, stay in your little naive bubble and let grown ups talk about boxing.

I'm not comparing Ortiz's and Froch's careers you idiot, I'm comparing the situations. :patsch

you cant compare the situations. ortiz didn't deserve a fight with mayweather, froch deserves a fight with bute. he may have lost the tournament but he's proven himself to be a fighter of tremendous ability, heart and resolve. ortiz has ability, heart (sometimes), and resolve when the situation sees fit. forch's mental fortitude alone makes comparing him to victor ortiz in any light disrespectful.

it's not froch's fault that he's making a good business decision while also choosing to fight arguably the most dangerous super middleweight on the planet. to say that he's fighting bute only because it makes good business sense is to disregard the fact that he's taking a fight against a dangerous man. who are you to say it's a decision based purely off business and not off the fact that he wants to fight the best? no one, you're no one to assume that, you're just a guy sitting behind a computer, discrediting froch's most clear attribute for a reason his promoters have most of the control over, and for an opportunity he literally bled against the best to obtain.

    you're an idiot

Winning a title fight < losing a title fight? :think

When did I say it was "his fault" lol you sound like a very young fan. I'm not dissing Froch nor am I praising him, I'm just telling it like it is. Who am I to say it was a decision based on money and title opportunity? An educated boxing fan.

victor ortiz, the sometimes warrior who has NEVER proved himself to be able to compete with the elite aside from a razor thin decision against berto, who more often absolutely folds under pressure, versus carl froch, the all out throwback fighter who's fought pascal, taylor, dirrel, kessler, abraham, johnson and ward, all in succession is a contrasting set of circumstances to say the least, and one that favors froch.

also, you definitely said it was his fault by the title of this thread, you sound like someone who's just talking to talk. how can you say him him choosing to fight bute is based purely off business and not on him being a warrior? if it's not his fault, like you say you never said, then how can you strip him of an attribute? if it weren't his fault, wouldnt he just be a guy who fights and lets his promoters do all the negotiations? something that would compleely debunk your reasoning for even creating this thread?

:good Guaranteed this guy is probably just another FMJ idolizer who posts primarily in threads about PPV numbers and 60/40 splits.
