Carl Froch wants to round off his career by fighting in Las Vegas, with Andre Ward or Julio César Chávez Jr his preferred opponents.

No chance of a rematch then ?????????

The last two years he's been demanding that any rematch with Ward is in the UK.

Now he's running scared of Groves he can't wait to jump on the first flight to Vegas! YCNMIU. Not behaviour of the brave Gladiator he constantly tells us he is.

    To quote Froch

"To finish in a massive fight would be better than going over old ground."

What you mean you would rather go over old ground in losing to a elite fighter like Ward than a young UK fighter that gave you a beating for six rounds ,

Carl sounds like he wants to lose loads of fans and finish avoiding another fight with Groves

Sounds like he's viewing how high profile a rematch would be - a football stadium full of people, and a record PPV crowd, in the biggest UK fight for 20 odd years - as a negative.

If he was to lose that, his ego and reputation would take such a battering he'd probably go into hiding, Prince Naseem style.

If he goes to Vegas and loses he can quietly retire and reappear in a couple of years as a pundit as if it never happened. If anyone were to mention Groves he could point to the round 9 TKO win on Boxrec as he has already started doing while people are still talking about what a disgrace it was!

The thing about Groves is it will never go away , unless he faces him in a rematch , win or lose he comes out with far more credibility than avoiding him,

Boxrec really does,nt count as the evidence will be there for all to see on youtube

Froch is ducking Groves for a rematch , he lost the mental battle before , lost most of the fight as a technical battle , but he did get the stoppage even if it was contentious , he should man up and give Groves a rematch !

If he does anything other than rematch groves he is pissing his legacy up the wall. He won't be remembered for all the great fights he's been in or the wins he's had, he'll be remembered for being beaten up by groves and then being gifted the win, he HAS to rematch George.

I agree.Groves says he wants the return next and Im so sorry for what happened to him that whatever he wants I hope he gets. But I think a Chavez fight would be great, though Id make that 50 50 in Vegas.Ward is pointless, wherever it is.Kessler is almost as bad.

No. Anytime the fight has been mentioned Froch has always said that he would fight him in the UK, and never committed to saying he'd be happy to go to the US. Eddie Hearn has made a big play about how Ward isn't a box office fighter and how any rematch should be in the UK to take advantage of the big crowd and PPV audience it would have guaranteed (pre Groves).

Ward has valid concerns about fighting in the UK, and has voiced them again this week.

Ward will have seen the Dirrell and Groves fights and be aware that if your name's Carl Froch and you're fighting in the UK, you can beat anyone...

All of a sudden Froch wants to go to Vegas. More of a worrier than a warrior at the minute.
