Funny ****. I never thought of it like that. The World Series isn't the World Series at all. Your comment about employing an American chauffeur is hilarious as well (I assumed you were joking, if not, it's still hilarious).

On a side note, guys are going to have a hard time catching your replies, or knowing that you're addressing them in particular, and keeping things within context, if you don't quote their statements. I'm fine with it, just throwing it out there with good intentions. Though you clearly address who you're talking to at the start of your posts, many are going to blank out and skip right past it.

I didn't mean for that to be taken so literally. But as many England natives in this thread alone have already stated themselves, if it's in Copenhagen they're going, if it's in Herning they're watching it from home. If several people in this thread alone have made that statement, imagine it on a much larger scale. Of course Kessler has the home advantage in Copenhagen, but much less so if English people can make it there as easily as Danish people can. I don't know the degree of neutrality, but from the vibe I'm getting here, it sounds like it will be a significant difference. So, not neutral by any means in Copenhagen, but more so than in Herning, where it will be much more convenient for Kessler fans to make it and nearly impossible for Froch fans to make it. I don't speak from experience, just from what I'm reading here, I simply failed to find a better word than "neutral". Forgive me.

Froch hardly has a reputation for a massive travelling fanbase. Somewhere in the region of 100 in the US for the Taylor fight. I'm sure there'd be more travel if the fight were in Copenhagen rather than Herning, but we're still talking in the hundreds rather than thousands.

I'm not going to read through 8 pages to ask if he has a choice? I doubt it.

    Jesus Christ.

It doesn't matter whose fans are there. God damn it. Too much whining in this sport, too many pampered little crybabies.

    **** boxing.

If you have to go by taxi, bus or train, 50 km is a heck to travel. The locals have their car, the international visitors would need to search the net on how to get there by bus or train. Preferably on danish websites with a language they don't understand. Great.

Got me. I just looked up Herning on google maps, and they didn't have country borders on that map ...

Cant see whats wrong with Froch thinking of his fans, in wanting a more accessible venue for them to travel to. Also the fights still in Denmark, where Kessler comes from.
Froch is champ and has no probs taking his title on the road, very commendable

Quite. People have already forgotten he made his first defence against an American in America.

I'm going to try to go even if the fight ends up in this Herning place but there's no doubt the transport links will make it more difficult if I want to leave Friday afternoon and get back in time for work on the Monday

True, but just saying that it isn't because Kessler wants fewer british fans. The venue in Herning makes more economical sense because it is cost friendly, so there is more money to go around for both fighters. And it is more difficult to go to Herning than Copenhagen, but not as impossible as the majority of the nay-sayers say it is. You can rent a bus for a reasonable price at the airport, but that is if you could gather a minimum 20-30 people

He should be glad for the hard to reach venue. Heck, he should request that they fight on an 18x18 floating platform somewhere over the continental divide, so as to drastically lower the number of people who are going to watch him get beaten unconscious.

For once I am siding with Froch, it seems like a pretty ridiculous place to have it.
