Froch's style is in itself career shortening. Anyway, the Dirrell fight was not a war nor the Abraham one. Maybe Froch should have protested at the beginning when Bute was not invited? He could have said: wait, we won't have the champion because the number 2 of the division is not there! Instead, he shut up. Froch has the right to speak that way but he tends to say something one day and the contrary the day after. The last time he talked about the after super 6, he was going at LHW and face Pascal. When asked about Bute, he said no. Now he would want to but Bute is not worth him and he wants to face Kessler. What will it be in a month? Anyway, he is fun to listen anyway and was very impressive against Abraham.
I'm a big Bute and Froch fan. You can say whatever you want about Bute's resumé, because it is really lacking a big win or two and Carl has definitly hearned the right to criticize other boxer's resumé. However, you can't deny Bute's ability. When I see him box, I perfectly know he's at the same level as guys like Ward, Froch, Dirrell and Kessler.
I didn't quote it to knock anyone. I just think it's a good point. Everyone one else is fatigued and has wear and tear while Bute gets to fight Mcgee. It's like if they took one of the best teams out of the NCAA tourney, lets all the teams face each other and then try to face the winner. The true best team may not win b/c it is not an even playing field. And while the AA fight was not a war I'm sure he went through grueling training camps.
Froch such a hypocrite. First he ducks Bute in a IBF eliminator match for the belt then he "forgets" that Showtime didn't invite Bute in S6. He beat a MW and now he's the greatest fighter ever. Give me a break. Johnson KO this big mouth! He trows punches slower than my grandma.
This ANd: Like if Froch, given the choice, would have fought outside is country...:tired Yeah yeah... He had no choice. When fighter do have the choice, they fight home. Bute, or Froch, or Abraham or Ward or whatever fighter....
Froch went to USA to fight Taylor even if he was the champion. Props to him for this one. But: I remember how Froch was whining because he didn't want to go to Denmark. I remember how he was whining because he didn't want the fight to be in Abraham's backyard. I also remember that Bute accepted to fight Froch in Nothingham. He's not telling history as it happened. He gives himself the good side of things. It won't make me forget though how things really happened.
he did want to go fight in denmark, he didnt want to fight in some small back water town he wanted the capital Copenhagen.
