You can say Froch should have done this or he should have done that. But the fact is Bute is 31-years-old and is about to face the best fighter of his career in Glen Johnson, a man who is 42-years-old and has 15 losses.

Andre Dirrell and Andre Ward are just hitting their late twenties and they still have had much tougher fights than Bute. Look at Amir Khan, Timothy Bradley or Victor Ortiz. These are young champions who have a resume that pisses all over Butes.

Whatever the reasons are for Bute not joining the Super Six, what are his excuses for not fighting better competition before the tournament?

Bute was up to go to Notthingham in september 2009 but Froch he's the one who declined it. He knew about the S6 comming up and he prefered to wait.

Funny that Bute wasn't ready for the top guys before the supersix started. After that he kept on whining how he couldn't get a decent fight.

The fight was almost a done deal and suddenly Bute realised that he wasn't ready for big fights? Come on :rofl

Was it almost done? I doubt venue etc. had been agreed upon TBH, but perhaps you know better?

...and we all know he didn't want Kessler after Zuniga even though Kessler looked for an opponent. Bute: "Eeerrrmmmm...... there are other ehmmm champions". Meaning EBU / NABF and the like obviously.

All the super six fighters need credit for putting it on the line, even Ward in Oakland. Direll for going over to UK.

Bute should have been in the super six but didnt put his ass on the line.

Froch is helping the sport out, milking debates like that.

Why exactly did he decline the IBF eliminator years ago? He "wasn't ready for the top guys" I guess. :D

Who has he seen as viable, step-up competition for Bute over the duration of the S6? Fvckin Pascal who ran his mouth over & over about getting Bute out of SMW for a mega LHW fight in Montreal?!??

Why hasn't Kessler's camp counter-offered in the Bute negotiations? And Bute is the one taking the easy way out LOL...

Bute not being in the S6 in the first place was a combination of Showtime politics (re: Bute then being an HBO fighter, and not an American or European-fighting-out-of-Europe per say) and money (lots to make with an Andrade rematch). Fvckin deal with it.

Lucy this, Butard that... wow, STFU boys.

Froch is right, but imo Bute takes too much heat.

If I can make $$$ in Montreal, why should I take my game on the road (assuming I'm fighting the guys Bute is). Montreal is a boxing mecca and it generates money.

Bute had a fight with Pavlik scheduled, now he's got a much tougher one with Glen Johnson. Who exactly do we want him to fight that he's been avoiding? Kessler and Dirrell have been injured til recently, Ward and Froch have been tied up, Abraham is off the map these days, Johnson was tied up and now that he's free Bute's taking a fight with him.

I have zero problem with the way Bute's career has gone. The fact still stands though: he's still got it all to prove.

seems like froch has too much opinion of a few boxers. He can't top talking crap about other boxers.

Froch ran from Bute 2 years prior to that. Does that make him a little *****?

Bute chose to give Andrade a rematch and it was an honorable thing to do. In the meantime, Froch was injured and not ready to fight. In addition, Froch had been approched by the super 6 organizers so if you were honest you would say that both fighters had other plans.

I would expect any boxing fans on this site to know by now that Bute wasnt invited in the super six.

I mostly write in SMW thread because I know more about it. I read, watch it more. I will read other thread, from time to time I will post in them. But, maybe because I have some education, I need to verify what I want to write.

For exemple, the post you quote me. Before posting it, I went to see in the WBO internet site, downloaded the pdf or their rules, and read them. I tried to assured that I had the good information before posting it. I already saw from other poster that the purse would be something between 60% to 80% to the champion. So instead of taking the information that was the most convenient for my opinions, I decide to verify by myself and then I was able to post it.

I think you should do the same from now on.
