    He also spouted similar sentiments after beating Dirrell. Claimed Dirrell lost because he tried to 'steal' the title. I like Carl, but I can't see him winning this tournament. He'll make for entertaining fights, but can't imagine him beating Abraham. I think he's going to get stopped, and brutally at that.

    He is totally wrong, but fighters lie to themselves when they lose.

    He's not being any different from anyone else. Most guys will always complain and excuse things away.

    like i mentioned in another thread i think he has lost just a little bit of class he showed earlier and has become a novicey looking brawler and i think he is better than that.

    I had it 8-4 for Kessler. But Carl does himself no favours considering how he 'won' against Dirrell. I just wish he'd say "It was close, but Mikkel fought hard and now I have to make adjustments and come back. I've got an opportunity against Abraham, so expect to see the best from Carl Froch and his nose in my next fight."

    Who can forget Peter Schmichael telling Froch that even if it was a hometown decision that just made it 1-1 after the Dirrell fight?

    Kessler defended his WBA belt in Oakland, USA. It's just the way of the tournament and it was agreed in advance, I believe.
