Saw the fight in my local battle cruiser...met a guy who said he was on ESB...rick? but who said he doesn't write in very much...

Froch KD'ed Reid in two rounds, every time with soft shots, particularly the first time...It's not so much that he KD'ed him as much as Reid crouched down and the ref counted him...he was very shot. But he did manage to win at least one of the opening two rounds...

Reason why I was interested in this fight was to see what Froch brings to the table, particularly in terms of defence...I don't have good news, unfortunately...Froch's defense has not improved one bit and he was being caught by Reid's looping rights time after time...when they fought on the inside, quite a few times Reid got the better of him...in the clinches - because, as expected, Reid made it quite dirty, Froch didn't impress, but he wasn't dirty...

What disappointed me was that Froch was not very fast tonight, nor very mobile, nor were his punches that big...it's almost as if he went easy on old Reid...

What I cannot forgive him for was the disrespect he showed Reid on two occasions - first, when Reid slipped and grabbed Froch's feet, after Reid released, Froch pushed him with his feet whilst he was on the floor, as if he was a piece of rubbish...also, at another point, he held his head for ages in an armlock, as if he was trying to humiliate Reid...

By tonight's performance I could not say that Froch has made a step forward...perhaps he was taking it really easy, but then, why did he have to take on a shot Reid anyway, and blow the importance of this matchup out of proportion...the fact that he disrespected Reid showed what he really thought of this match-up...

Disappointed with Froch's performance. This 30 year old is going nowhere fast, on the basis of this performance...

He turned down an opportunity to face Bute In an IBF eliminator to fight Tatesvosyan who Bute beat easily In less than two months before Froch got him.

Why not fight the one who beat Tatevosyan?

Couldn't agree more. Too many boxers at SMW have no losses and should be fighting each other to determine who's going to fight it out with Kessler for top dog honours. The likes of Inkin and Lacy also need to be thrown into that equation.

    What a ridiculous statement.

Bute, Bika and Kessler are 2 grades above this Froch clown, why wld they be scared of his power?

The last bit i do agree............. not enough public demand cos Froch's a nobody :deal

Yeah i was going to change that actually.

Biks probably 1/2 grade, Bute 1.5 grades and Kessler 2.5 grades above Froch the fraud :yep

It's not you at all...I agree 100%...it was a poor performance by Froch...he swung once with a looping left - mate, that took about half a second to go over Reid's head - he could have ducked twice under that one!

I have a question: Was Froch just nor taking this fight seriously out there or was it just a poor performance...or both?

i will give him a little leeway for rust, out for seven months and all that.

however he was definately slow, his workrate was, as usual, low, and he got hit too easily.
on the plus side he obviousl hits hard and definately has no chin worries.
he is in the mix, no doubt.

Froch has always been that slow.

Prime Reid would have KO'd him absolutely no problem.

Froch has accuracy and power, and fair timing. But Reid outclassed him tonight, and no doubt shattered Froch's dellusions.
