No. That never happened. GGG was a MW who moaned about people avoiding him his entire career yet never made much of an attempt to rectify it at another weight , Loma did.. what stopped him? And if you're forgetful of who he was .. 4 time titlist at SMW , HOFer , fought a Who's Who of his era and gave us some of the greatest fights of the past twenty years.. that guy.. GGG was a quality fighter but his career is a waste and he spent 85% of it fighting cans.. hes not blameless.. Froch' career shits all over Golovkins... & yes i could see Froch having success at light heavyweight , a lesser fighter in pascal did
He never had that tag. He has always been beatable. He is just very very tough and fit and for someone in his weight class that wants to engage, he will give them a good fight. I really liked Froch as a fighter, he was great value. But he was never portrayed as this unbeatable P4P giant, just a tough guy with a great chin
Froch "too big too strong" Golovkin "let's fight" Froch "oohh errr my wife won't let me because she likes my new nose sorry mate you know how it is. You were saved by the bell this time"
Yeah, Pascal was drained at 168. And it was a tough grueling fight. At 175, he'd be too strong for Froch where Froch would be too small.
Brain damage for Froch, not a good move. This fights happening in 4 months, can't wait to buy the Payperview. It will be on HBO Latino right after a broadcasting from NewsMax.
Completely agree. Loved watching Carl. Not because he was invincible but because he was a warrior. His stock didn’t go down after the Ward fight for me. It might have done if Ward smashed him up but he didn’t. He fought a fight which completely negated Froch’s assets and fair play to him.
Froch would have to try and replicate his performance against Arthur Abraham and likely that won’t be enough. What about Beterbiev vs Ward. Dre always finds a way to win.
