Froch won, Dirrell was ducking below the belt, holding and even running the whole fight. Froch threw more punches, hit more often and was never really put under any pressure the whole fight.
Dirrell definitely won. I gave Froch the rounds I gave him out of sympathy, as I felt it was a foregone conclusion to give him the benefit of the doubt on occasion, even though he was not particularly effective in the rounds I gave him. You dont think nothing of giving someone the benefit of the doubt when you know there losing so comprehensively. The fight was not even close, infact the only thing that was close about it, was how narrowly Dirrell was taking the rounds, and because he had a point taken. Im sorry, but anyone who scored that fight for Froch, is either being disingenuous in their objectivity, or they dont know how to score a fight adequately based on what actually lands, how consistent you are during 3 mins of a round.
Froch won by a point in a very difficult fight to score on my card.Body shots count as well!! Dirrell was lucky not to have DQ'd
Most of Dirrells haters think he beat Froch.............He did...........and Froch REALLY hates Dirrell for embarrassing him in his hometown, with his own countrymen saying he got a "hometown"...........is what it is.
I had it 114-113 in favour of Dirrell, but any other score close to that I can accept. It was not an easy fight to score. When I first watched it, although I didn't score it i felt that Dirrell had nicked it. I think Dirrell deserved the nod, but it's clear why he didn't win it. His style didn't impress the judges, they saw Froch as the aggressor so gave the fight to him. Perfectly logical IMO.
If they got their **** together then they would at least be very difficult opponents for pretty much anyone. Same here. I actually used to be a fan of him but not anymore...
I feel exactly as you do. I despise Dirrell's actions and his negativity but he toke Froch to school for the most part especially by countering well early in the fight. Not an easy fight on the eyes but I can rewatch it and actually like it to a degree despite the frustration I had with Dirrell's negativity.
Exactly Andre Dirrell is mentally weak. You can't trust a fighter like that to do great things or perform on the big stage. He may one day make a believer out of me again but for now I have no faith in him. If he ever fought Froch he'd get dumied even worse.
I had Dirrell winning by a fairly wide margin. He landed the more telling shots in almost every round. That said, I can't complain too much about the result. If there's ever been a fight where both fighters deserved to lose, this was it.
