Anyone who thinks Taylor would be an easy customer for anyone is a *****, simple as that. His athletecism alone makes it that much harder because he can match ANYONES speed in those divisions, in fact.. I'd go as far as saying he's the fastest 168lbs'er.. or his hands are the fastest rather :deal
For Froch to hurt JT, JT will have to play ball and just forget his boxing skill and coming rushing in head first with throwing wider punches than him. Kind of like Pascall. Pascall has strength some speed but he cant throw straight punches for ****. JT can get them straight down the pipe that will always connect before Froch gets off.
Think your probably right on this one. In boxing there are often fights between two guys where both can win but one has the potential to embarass the other, where as the other guy could fight the fight of his life and it wouldn't be a blow out. In this fight the one with the potential to truely out class his opponent is Taylor. When this type of a match up occurs more often then not the out come is somewhere in the middle. That would mean that Taylor is going to win a clear decision. Of course the last time Taylor found himself in a similar situation against a puncher he got KTFOed. But of course that puncher had just beat Miranda...a better acid test then Pascal, so this one is more up in the air.
well its nice that you already have an excuse carved out for him if he loses. i will agree that taylor looks to be on the slide judging by the lacy fight. this however could be jt getting used to the weight, or it could be an off performance. well see.
Only reason you want Taylor to look good is so it makes Pavlik look better. If Pavlik can get into 168 comfortably he would smash Froch up. However, I feel Taylor will do that tonight anyway, with pretty much the same scored you have put forward BooRadley
What ARE you talking about?! Carl Froch (who, incidentally, I dislike both stylewise and as a personality) is a much underrated boxer who possesses all the tools to give ANYONE an argument in the division. He's not my cup of tea, because I don't actually like his particular 'brand' of boxing (similarly, Junior Witter I wouldn't cross the road to watch.) However, he is extremely effesctive in what he does, as , I believe the doubting Americans will discover tonight. Kelly Pavlik, whose style is more appealing, would get a real wake up call if he ever faced 'The Cobra.' I think that would be a 50/50 fight at best for Pavlik.
bute destroys froch imo. too fast, too accurate, too skillful period. if he doesn't beat taylor, it's back to the drawing board. i feel like there's a lot froch needs to work on to beat the elites. he's got the heart and he's obviously a warrior, but that will only take you so far.
if taylor had the fastest hands i wouldn't even have a thought in my mind about him winning tonight. he's definitely fast and waaayyyy faster than froch (who seems ridiculously slow to me), but i dont know about fastest in the division.
i just went back and rewatched a little video and taylor is pretty fast at 168. it looks like he and bute are probably about equal. bute is not as fast as i thought he was. for some reason i thought he was faster. good ****, taylor UD or T/KO depending on how crappy froch's defense is tonight.
:good:good I'm backing Taylor aswell. I think he may get an early knockout, because he had a look in his eyes I haven't seen since he fought B-Hops. I hope we get a long stretched out, blood and guts kind of fight with Taylor pulling out a victory. :happy
