I agree with what your saying but you're going way off point. Moving down generally affects a fighter very badly and for me Johnson and Mack were both pretty tame title defences.

I dont think anybody would predict Pudwill to give Hagler problems, but I dont know why you brought up Hagler or Pudwill as they are not in question or relevant to my question.
I asked someone to explain how Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell etc were good SMW wins. I asked that because they have fought at that weight and are viewed as good victories for Froch.
So rather than go on about Hagler or Pudwill, try and answer the question if you want to quote me

Can someone explain how Pascal, Dirrell, Taylor, Johnson, Mack are good SMW wins? They havent done anything at the weight. Nothing.
Abraham isnt a top SMW either. I thought he lost the first fight to Steiglitz and then did lose the return and how many posts were on ESB saying Steiglitz was the worst champ etc. Many on here even said Bute was a fighter that never did anything and never stepped up and not a top champ. I actually think Frochs win over Bute was excellent, but just look at how people have changed their posting to suit.

As said Bute was a top win and the first SMW champ that Froch beat, before that it was vacant titles. Now tell me how Pascal, Dirrell, Taylor, Johnson, Abraham, Mack are good SMW wins? Except for Abraham having a disputed and hard fought win over a fighter that many called the worst champ, The others havent done anything at the weight. Nothing.
Remember how Sheika beat prime SMW Johnson to get a shot at the champ Calzaghe, which shows how the division has got weaker when in order for Froch to get a shot at champ Ward, he had to fight old, boiled down, past best Johnson that Sheika beat when prime. Thats should say everything

Froch didn't have to beat Johnson to get a shot at Ward. Glenn was brought into the Super6 after Kessler and Green both bailed after getting their ass handed to them by Ward.....Johnson had 1 win before Froch ejected him.

Johnson had only won 4 of his last 10 fights before Sheika beat him.
He was losing to Ottke and nobody's - Merqui Sosa , Joseph Kiwanuka, Derrick Harmon.
