You forgot about clean punch, clean jab, great head movement inside, great counter, hard shot, jab, clean counter, hard fast counter, jab, straight left to the body, picture perfect hook. I could keep going. That was a ****ing robbery and I was rooting for Froch.
PBF is a fantastic fighter, and that boy Direll will go on to do great things. We have no great fighters in the uk. Froch is ok at best. He did deserve that verdict though.
Not really, my overall opinion of him was improved from what it was at the first bell. He showed me he had stamina, he had a serviceable chin the few times Froch landed, he could compete at a world class level, and he had better power than I anticipated. Negatives were his holding and nevativity at times, if he could let some of that go he'd be a lot better because he actually got the better of Froch in exchanges so it wasn't neccessary ALL the time. I do think he is going to have some problems with more offensively clued fighters than Froch. Froch's handspeed and accuracy was horrendous, I lost count of the number of slow hooks that sailed over Dirrell's head. His attitude is going to be seriously questioned against better offensive fighters.
And the rabbit punches from Froch? The repeated blows after the ref called for a clean break? The body slam? Let me guess. Froch didn't deserve to lose any points from those repeated infractions right? Froch couldn't beat Dirrell in a boxing match and the ****er tried to turn it into an MMA battle. That **** was ridiculous.
I'm watching this fight & really trying to remember when I last saw a "world class" fight where one fighter had no skills on the back foot, & the other had every skill but no ****ing faith in his ability. It was an absolute stinker of a fight & I wouldn't have cared if they gave the decision to the bouncer.:barf
Yea. They were pro Forch the first half of the fight. After the seventh round, they didn't have much if anything to say positive about Froch. In the early rounds, all they would say is the round is close and looks even if not say Dirrell won the round.
He had more clean shots than Froch. Which is not bad for a running holdning man. Froch was terrible, and that can't be altered.
Froch won a close fight, dirrell has no inside game period, and froch controlled it and landed cleanly on the inside for 6 of the rounds, with the justified point deduction making the difference in froch's favor...
dirrells a mixture of matthew barney an john ruiz so negative a scared of his shaky chin froch won 115 - 111 on my card
