Froch vs Dirrell controversy thread

Froch by a mile. Dirrell did nothing but run and hold. Carl made him look like an amatuer Mayweather wannabe.

I started the night hoping Froch would shut this loud mouth up..

Dirrell.. easy.. if you voted Froch you need to start watching Gymnastics or something.. people like you are ruining the sport..

 

Dirrell won, better ring generalship, landed more, and landed more effectively throughout, though unfortunately he wasn't very pleasing at all doing it, which probably some of the judges didn't go for. The fight with Abraham might be even worse in that regard, since Abraham is even more passive but has much more eraser power to fear.

 

i thought it was a draw. that was the worst fight i have seen since Bhop vs Calzaghe.
i don't think more than 6 punches were landed in the first three rounds. the only good rounds in the fight were the 11 and 12. GARBAGE. i want that hour of my life back.

 

Direll won the fight, however to be become a champion and accomplish that in someone's backyard you either need to knock him out or beat him convincgly. He did neither of those, thus I am not totally shocked that Froch got the hometown treatment.

 

You realise the judges and referee are selected by the WBC and not the UK boxing commissions right?

You also realise that far worse robberies have taken place on American soil?

You also realise that boxing judges are like people and have different things they find impressive.

If it was an option, I'd have scored this fight a resounding "Neither of you ****ers deserve the WBC title, it's going to be vacated and fought for in the next Super 6 fight"

 

If you had Dirrell winning than why did you vote for Froch in the poll?

 

Its clear from just reading about the fight that Dirrell didnt do enough over the 12 rounds to take the belt, opening up in the last couple rounds isnt enough to become a champion.

 

If anything Dirrell exposed Froch (if there was anything to expose) but Kessler will take care of him

Boxing is scored on a 10 point system the fighter at the end of the bout, barring a KO, who scored the most wins the fight. This doesn't change if there is a title on the line or not.

So if you win by 1 point or 4 points a win is a win.

Dirrell should be champ.

Froch won the fight. I only got in from the fight 30 mins ago. Dirrell was eating lefts all night, running and holding, ruining the fight. Yes Froch was poor tonight but he still beat Dirrell clearly.
