well i think mayweather would run for a few rounds until froch caught him properly. but to be fair it could happen in any round.

How's Froch landing on a smaller, faster fighter with a better defence and better footwork than Dirrell who Froch couldn't touch?

LOL, This crap is getting carried away.
Froch can't even stand in the same ring with Mayweather. He couldn't even have beaten Floyd's father or uncle if they were still fighting. Froch is a Euro-hype of major proportions. He can't box, carries his hands too low, is slow, and has terrible footwork. Floyd would be tagging him aside the head all night long while fighting a masterful defensive match.

No contest. Froch would fair even worst than Hatton against Mayweather.

Mayweather can't hit Froch hard enough to even make him think twice for a second, Froch will maintain nonstop pressure unphased the whole time while imposing his physical size in whatever way he wanted, even if Mayweather blocks every punch Froch will toss him around and chop him down. Mayweather doesn't have the frame to take that sort of punishment from a 170+ lbs (on fight night) power puncher.

One might logically have had that same rationale for the Valuev-Haye fight. Size/strength even wider.

We know how that turned out. Froch-Mayweather could easily be similar. And Mayweather hits harder than people think. He may not KO Froch, but he could f*ck him up badly.

if mayweather could take a froch punch early on and not get ko'd then he would win a ud...i cant see froch landing anything on floyd that isnt lucky and before floyd has felt him out...i have read articles saying he spars with much bigger men and dominates, even though sparring is nowhere near a real fight it still shows a competitiveness about him and he shouldnt be underestimated just because he is much smaller...

Mayweather should pursue this fight. It would be an easier fight than Pacquiao. He should be pushing for Williams, this would be a big win for his legacy. It is highly unlikely that Williams uses steriods, and this would give Floyd greater piece of mind in preparing for the fight. It is also likely that Williams would sign any contract, or meet any demands, that Floyd's people would put in front of him, recognizing that a victory might put him in the driver's seat for future bouts.

I was gonna say whoever posted this crazy sh!t should be smacked until I read all the people that think Froch could win and now I think all of you should be smacked. First off, in PBF, you have one of the best of all time whether you like him or not. In Froch you have a top ten SMW who has two name victories under his belt. PBF is a boxing machine so would punish Froch for 12 good rounds. Floyd gets hit hard every 6 years and I don't think a guy who keeps his hands by his side and has no speed, no counter punching ability will be the one to catch him. All you people that think Froch would win need use common sense. Its clear that you guys are letting your dislike for PBF colud your judgement. Froch will finish 5th in this tournament for a reason.
