You know i still haven't watched the Lyell/Duddy fight yet, I have it on my SKY+ Planner but couldn't bring myself to watch it, Maybe I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and actually watch Lyell fight before i write him off, But should Pavlik not be looking at some live contenders instead of Mora and Lyell.

He is hot property I guess. And give him his due. He just graduated from college meaning this is probably the first time he trained full time. But still, by his own admission he is a JMW. I think he needs to fight there.

I can't rewatch Hopkins/Pavlik. I think I got to the 4th round and had to quit. I think this is Billy's managers pipe dream. Kid is a 154 pounder.

Oh ****, it's not as bad as that beat down is it:patsch

Actually looking at the title of the thread Froch vs Pavlik, that looks really tasty, Catchweight 166 could be an awesome fight. Pavlik beat Taylor at 166. and if I'm not mistaken come's into the ring about 170 for his Middleweight fights anyway so this could be less of a haul than the Hopkins fight.

I've seen 3 rounds on youtube of Lyell/Duddy. Just looked like Lyell out quicked him.

"Team Pavlik" has stated no more weight jumping. People come to 160 if they want him.

I've heard what Loew had to say about Kelly staying at 160 and that's sensible talk, but you never can tell with this game, nothings ever set in stone. Could be a big money fight for both fighters and what a fight for the fan's, A real classic for the ages!

I do not think Pavlik/Froch will happen anytime soon. However, I'm gonna go back on my word here, and make a few more Pavlik/Froch comments. Froch is so slow he'd make Kelly look like a damn ninja. If KP could pick off the majority of Taylor's jabs, what the **** could Froch hope to do? Think about that.

And think about this; JT hammered Froch with left hands all night. Kelly has a better educated, more versatile, and much harder left than Taylor.

One more item for reflection: Frochs slow reflexes, lack of head movement, and low left hand vs Pavlik's lead right and 1-2.:vonnecunt

It would be a shame if this one didn't happen, and it would also be a lot more difficult than Froch/Taylor to predict. One thing's for sure though it would be a slugfest from start to finish, Froch ain't no Rubio or Lockett and in the same breath Pavlik ain't no Taylor/Pascal. @166 I'd give Froch a slight advantage despite his "Lack of Speed" but i definetly wouldnt count out Pavlik. for me it's 50/50

Pavlik has Abraham, Williams, Sturm, and possibly Winky to focus on. He doesn't need Froch. Pavlik/Froch is a highly unlikely fight. Froch will lose to Bute, Kessler, or Andrade before KP leaves 160. If for some reason this match does get made, Pavlik will knock Froch out. Stevie Wonder could land 40% on this guy, and defensive flaws are a VERY bad thing against Pav.

Its like the colonels secret chicken recipe I can't get any info on whether the Mora fight is good or not, but I put in a few phone calls if I find out I'll let ya know. Froch/Pavlik is aboxing fans dream but not Top Ranks it may happen in due time but work at MW has to be done. Kp has a real dream to unify the titles and thats what he's working for.
Billy Lyell is a good guy, but even he understands that a Lyell/Pavlik fight is as likely as the one legged man winning the ass kicking contest. Billy can be a good 154lb, but his career would be very short above that. His manager is notorious in the boxing world, and usually not for good reasons!

Really thought that Taylor would win this with out getting involved,
But Frochs is one Tough Hombre, his head was getting snapped back, hammered slaughter, and his will power is unmatched, its that brutish
Ox like power, I would love to see a fight between Pavlik and froch,
Leaning towards Pavlik, But Pavlik may realised that Froch is brutish and tougher than expected and for the first time ever will outbox him on the back foot, froch eats powerpunches to land his own,
Oh btw Tony Jefferies is another awesome talent and definitley be world champion guaranteed

If only it were to happen, then hell yes. :good Got nothing against him but Frochy would not make it past 8 imo. His lack of defense, handspeed, and fight changing power plays right into Pavlik's strengths.

Team Pavlik could win this fight next as matter of fact.

Pavlik has the better chin. Remember when Taylor unloaded a barrage of about 15 power shots on Pavlik? Kelly got up immediately. Look at what happened to Froch. Taylor landed two good punches on him, and Froch stayed on the floor for 8 seconds. Pavlik has given us conclusive evidence that his chin is made of steel. Froch showed us a good chin, but not exactly iron.

Now imagine how Froch would react to real power, which Pavlik has lots of. It would be a slugfest, with Carl Froch backing away as Pavlik stalks him. Pavlik is less skillful than Taylor and would have a harder time finding the target, but it would end by KO in the late rounds just because when Pavlik hits, he does more damage.

That was a flash knockdown, Froch was not seriously hurt and took the full 8-count because Rob McCracken told him too.

Pavlik was in a world of **** and stupidly got up too quick and was lucky to survive the round.
