Posters who have no clue what they are talking about need to stop parroting this interent myth. Pavlik has fought above 160 thirteen times. He's 12-1 with 10 KO's. Of the 3 fights that went the distance, he lost to an all time great, scored a clear UD over Taylor after injuring both hands, and Ross Thompson lasted the 8 round distance years ago. Thompson won one round on one scorecard, and never fought again.

I can't agree more with this. Rubio made Pavlik look bad by rarely engaging, probably due to the fact he knew he had no chance from the start. Pavlik wins inside 8.

Rubio got the **** scared out of him in the first 3 rounds. After that he went completely into survival mode. It's hard for nearly any fighter to look great against a guy who won't fight. On the other hand, KP did some things I thought looked really good. Pav's use of the left hook was very good; he frequenlty doubled and tripled it, lead with it, and flat out tricked Rubio into running right into it. I also liked the way Kelly stood in front of Rubio and made him miss with head and upper body movement.

O I have no clue have I, the great thing of forum's is you can voice your opinion, so I did and i think Froch would win the fight, sorry my friend when he fought a well past his prime Hopkins he got schooled, beaten up. And o yes did Taylor not knock Pavlik down in the second round and so nearly stoped it there and then, and the second fight was very close. Look Pavlik is a good fighter but i think you need to do your homework because the majority of his fights have been at 160.... Now do me a favour and logg off...:hi:

13 fights above 160 = you need to do some research rather than just making an ass of your self. Froch would make Pavlik look like the love child of Willie Pep and Godzilla. Carl the Clumsy is the weakest title holder in his division. Pavlik/Froch will never happen because Froch won't get past Bute.

Box Rec is your freind fuzz nuts.

At present Carl Froch is the most over rated fighter on ESB. His win over Jermain was a good win. It proved that Froch is a tough and gutsy warrior, but tough ain't enough.

Considering the difficulties that Arum and Sauerland have had coming to terms on a Pavlik/Abraham fight, KP and AA should both be gunning for Carl the Clumsy. Froch has aboslutley nothing in his arsenal that allows him to beat either man.

To beat Abraham you have to be able to mount a sustained and precise attack, and do it well enough to keep from getting caught by something big. Froch doesn't have the offensive skill to pull that off.

To beat Pavlik you have to be able to slip the jab consistently, use really clever and really quick footwork, win the jabbing contest, et. In essence you need, great defense, above average hand speed, and really good footwork. Froch doesn't have any of those things.

In other words, Froch not only loses to the best at super middleweight, he also loses to the best middleweights. This would be the perfect time for Kelly or Arthur to move up and poach a belt off a weak title holder.

I agree Froch is highly over-rated, but so was Pavlik.

Froch fought the best? I was unaware of Froch fighting Kessler, Bute, Andrade, Bika, and Baszay. When did all those fights happen?

Then maybe build them guns and come and fight Bute or Froch..:hey

I know you are a raw noob on here, but are you really so uneducated and uninformed that you don't know how to use Box Rec? And by the way, it was 14, not 13. My mistake.
