Yep i've thought about this fight for 18 months and it's so hard to find ways that Froch wins but tbh he's shocked us before so who knows. I know that he can box better then he shows at times and may trouble Ward who likes to control everything. His awkwardness may be his strength but as you say remains to be seen.

obviously like www.eastsideboxing.com however you need to test the spelling on several of your posts. A number of them are rife with spelling problems and I to find it very troublesome to tell the reality nevertheless I'll definitely come back again.

I wouldn't say patient. Extremely amateurish and negative IMO.

That's the thing that makes the fight so potentially intriguing and whets the appetite. Froch has just enough class to surprise everyone and turn Ward's strength into weaknesses and bring it all together for that one night.

Yep, he's not in supreme control like a Hopkins or a Ward, and looks more vulnerable. However I had him beating Froch and doing a good job of doing enough to win rounds and then getting out. The Abraham fight exposed a certain one-dimensional quality to it all though and his response to Abraham's pressure was amateurish and showed a lack of smarts and ring craft.

This is gonna get messy! :D

Can't wait for this and I think we're gonna see a fight of two halves. Ward is too good with his movement and speed to not get the better of the first half of this fight and Froch is too mentally tough and physically strong to not come on strong as Ward tires in the second half of the fight.

Team Froch have alluded to this and I think it is a common sense approach to minimise the damage early and then bring it on around the half-way point.

Ward uses a lot of movement and I see Froch walking towards him in the first half of the fight behind the jab and feinting to keep Ward mentally occupied and on the move.

Ward will land flashy combos and if he stings Carl with anything expect a Margarito-type response from Froch, he's gonna smile, beat his chest and come in swinging.

Froch will catch up with Ward about Round 7, he'll start to throw with more intent at Ward to the body and head and after a good start by Andre we will see him getting ugly as he slows up slightly.

Froch will keep coming and he is gonna land with something from Round 8 onwards, I expect Carl to really come on strong through Rounds 8-10, following through on any big single shots with conviction.

This is when we will see what Ward is made of. If he cant come up with something that hurts Froch he is gonna have to run a gauntlet of awkward, unorthodox power shots from every angle and risk losing points as he steps outwith the rules to survive.

I'm hoping Froch wears him down and gets the stoppage, a TKO after a barrage of punches.

If it goes to points no way in hell Froch gets a decision, the best he can hope for is a Draw.

Have a fridge full of Hoegaarden, Pakora and Pizza all set for what will be an epic finale to a great tournament but it's more likely I will have to pass on the beer at least as I am riddled with Flu just now :barf

Will follow the betting tomorrow and see if I can pick up some Xmas bonus winnings!:thumbsup

    War Froch!! :ibutt:ibutt:ibutt

    Keys to Victory:

    Froch

-Aggressive: Start fast with aggression, really set to Ward who likes to work way into things but gauging range and looking to settle into plan. Froch needs to work right away, hit him hard and let him know he's in for a war. Unsettle him and don't allow Ward to work into a Rhythm. Ward holds elbows quite high i think if Carl can press the fight sensibly and punch to body he can get himself into fight. Ward sometimes makes facial expressions that give impression he can be upset by roughstuff/shots to body etc.

-Jab: Long reach, Carl has a good jab that cannot be questioned in terms of quality. Ward can be stationary with his head at times and i think Carl has to affect his thought process, Ward likes to go periods without throwing a punch he'll just back off, feint then step right then step left then away. I think he's thinking/waiting for moment to attack. Carl needs to upset him, press him and keep jab working head to body, feint it as well. It's got to be used also to lay right hand in behind it.

-Footwork: Footwork and Carl  i know, i know it doesn't make sense but for this fight he's got to be working to a plan. Steady pressure has to be applied, Ward likes to work off his lead hand, if he's orthodox i'd like to see Carl circle towards his own left, Ward likes to circle to his left also but by doing this i think he will negate the jab by this making Ward reach a bit if he's leaning back like he does and also halfsteps back and feinting he can upset Ward with his awkward movements. I believe it's a risk but a risky worth taking, i think he could force Ward into throwing his lead hand and fall in and then rough him up.

I know many will disagree and i understand totally, it's a hard game plan for Carl to pull off but it's a quick off the cuff post.
