I hope it happens. I'm itching for some unification at SMW in the near future. Hopefullly by then, Kessler has his promotion troubles out of the way and can fight the winner.

After givng Andrade a boxing lesson for 11 rounds, Bute ****ed up big time in the 12th. As to whether he will do it again remains to be seen. Concluding that he has "better speed, stamina and defense than Taylor" is a bit extravagant at this point. His resume isn't as good as Taylors, and it is easy to look good against inferior opposition.

  3. Just as you said Taylor dominates Froch :think

Froch had all kinds of troubles against Pascal, who is WAY under Bute level.IMO Bute will both toy with Pascal AND Froch...:deal

Bute is on a different level, but you just never can count out Froch, he has a huge heart, excellent stamina, decent skills and very good power. Respect for his comeback knockout from last night.

With that said, Bute is MUCH bigger and stronger than Taylor, he's a natural LHW fighting at SMW. I never thought Taylor grew into the 168 division, in fact, he was pushed back by WWs like Spinks and Ouma at 160. Bute is also harder to hit, he's slick southpaw with very fast hands and has a better stamina than Jermain. The only fight he had stamina problems was vs. Andrade, who has alien energy level and LHW power himself. Froch doesn't apply half of the pressure, Taylor was 15 seconds from winning a majority decision, and Jermain has bad stamina and a suspect chin.

I think Bute dominates more than Taylor early, and IMO keeps Froch at the same pace for the 2nd, more dangerous part of the fight doing 12 without any promblems. Also, he's an awesome body puncher and watch some finishing combos of him, I'm hugely impressed with Bute, very underrated fighter. Stoppage on body shots is possible.

    Good fight, bring it on!

Good, it will be a great win for Bute. Froch is VERY good but Bute is elite, in his prime has the style advantage, and is in his true weightclass.

Bute UD and i respect Froch a lot ( i would love him to rematch Pascal actually in a few years if Pascal beats Diaconu and they both gets a few big wins) but he aint beating Bute.

when pascal ko's diaconu i think people will appreciate how good a win this was for froch!

all this talk of froch needs to fight this that and the other is bs anyway. he not a fighter to duck folk, he knows he's 31 and in a hurry to fight the best. there will be no nottingham homecoming warm up fights for him but to be hoest after the last too i would not begrudge him an easier night!

I'm not watching the fight until it's shown tonight on ITV. But I'm highly suspicious of all this 'outclassing' talk considering the score cards. i.e. wasn't it going to be a split decision?

not what I said at all. not even close.

In fact although my prediction of the final outcome was off by about 20 seconds, the fight played out much like I said it would. You can dig up my posts if you want.

In a way my prediction was closer than alot of people who predicted a Froch KO in rounds 6,7,8,9

Last night's upset was not a surprise for me at all. Froch beating Bute would be.
