I dont see where its in poor taste. Steward was a trainer of fighters of all skill levels, but I dont see where its in poor taste that his world Champions be seated together wearing arm bands as a show of the level of trainer Emmanuel Steward really was. To the contrary, from my perspective it would have been really nice tribute to have seen at the funeral every World Champion Emmanuel Steward ever worked with wearing those arm bands in attendance.
I'm pretty sure we're all gonna die without seeing that one. We'll be lucky to get an exhibition match when they are both in their 70s.
I hope you're being sarcastic. Steward has seen virtually all the greats up close dating back to the 50's and 60's to present. Steward is not missing anything as far as the mismatch of a boxing match between Mayweather and Pacquiao. Especially now that the matchup has been downsized and no longer a real Superfight. ^^^this rip manny still have his voice in my head from interviews like yesterday **** sux
Former boxers have a unity and loyalty to each other more than I have seen in most other sports. When they are fighting and prime they talk and say they are greater than everyone, but when they retire you cannot find a more humble group of guys. That is what is great about boxers. They really do love the sport and each other. This picture proves how connected they all are.
Agreed. When you have the Queen of Soul singing at your funeral, in the words of Bernie Mac, "You somebody!" Godspeed, Manny. He was such a good guy. Thanks for the memories. :thumbsup
