People should shut the **** up about Quintana beating Williams in their first fight, he had an off day. Why is nobody talking about the rematch? That was a great fight were Williams proved he has dynamite in his hands.

No such thing as off nights in boxing. If he can be outboxed once, he can be outboxed again.

Funeka has exactly the type of style that would trouble Floyd.

IMO, it's been smart management by Floyd.

ODLH is the closest thing to that type of style that Floyd has ever faced and he gave Floyd fits despite being well past it. And even then, that's not really Oscar's style, just the closest Floyd has faced.

I agree, **** that bull**** about off day. You train for a fight, you go into the fight on the night with a game plan. Williams clearly had the wrong game plan and training. But nothing about off day. That's just a cop out.

In the rematch, he studied his fighter harder during training, probably used better sparring partners and more importantly he executed his fight plan better the 2nd time round.

Off day is a bull**** sentiment in boxing.

Funeka lost to campbell. He wouldnt trouble Floyd. Floyd and Guzman have nothing in common. Guzman is just a dirt poor mans version of Floyd. floyd doesnt tire. Floyd is a great inside fighter. Floyd has a great jab and better footwork.

As for DLH being what troubled Floyd. If you can find another 5'11 160lb faded ATGs with a great jab, come tell me. For me, the best style to beat Floyd is Pacquiao

Funeka's style would trouble Floyd. I don't think Funeka is good enough to beat Floyd in a p4p sense.

If oscar was well past it at 154 he must have been ****ing dead at 147 against pac?

He should have gone into that ring in a wheel chair:lol:

Fits? was that the pitty pat punches in burst up against the ropes, hitting elbows and gloves?

If we talking about stylistic match up what about pac.

lets see after marquez got robbed in their 2nd fight. Pac has gone on to fight

    diaz

    Oscar

    Hatton

    Cotto

You see the pattern, not one natural boxer in there, he will be kept well away from anyone who could give him fits again, like marquez did.

Joan is good, but not great. he just isn't as technically sound as he should be given his talent level. He is all Flash with a cute boxing style that looks good against good opposition but begins to crumble when facing top teir comp. Joan wasn't going to win this fight even if he contiued to use that low crouching, body attack stle b/c that JAB was going to get to him eventually.

Its late and I cant be arsed going back and forth on this one with you. But I laugh at that specific part of your post, you tell me i havent been in the ring as if you know me better than me.

Look on the training section and you will find posts from me dating way back from 2005. Ive been boxing for 5 years ******* and I can prove it.

Tell you what, Im gonna call you out, post a video of you fighting in the ring and prove that it is you and I will post mine. Otherwise STFU!

As for bringing up the threads, lol, how about when you questioned who ranks MAB/Morales above Toney and laughed it off as if only an idiot would do that. Only to find that 76% rank MAB & Morales. You got ****in owned you twat. Your lack of boxing knowledge also got exposed a thousand times in that thread.

Obviously I know far more about boxing then you. Look how pathetic your posts are. Hell some guy shitted all over you when you ran home to mommy. Corrales has the reach of someone whos 5'7 :rofl

Post it fatboy. I wanna see what a fatass nerd looks like inside the ring. This should be a laugh.

*******s will overwhelm any thread that has to do wth their hero. For instance when I said that Corrales and Castillo were better wins then Barrera and a shot Morales. Even though the poll was massively in Manny's favor, not one ******* could come in and actually challenge the assertion, accept for a couple who actually said I had a point. Same with Toney vs Morales and MAB. Toney has won belts in what 4 divisions? Beaten fighters like Nunn, Barkley, Jirov, Holyfield, Ruiz ect. How could Morales or Barrera compare? Naz? I'd lean towards Morales a little since he dominated Pacquiao who doesnt look that different then he does now. But still, Toney gets the nod, Jumped more divisons and looked great as he did it.

Hell, even Popkins, a known Pac hugger said that Toney vs MAB and Morales debate was a wash. And thats a Pac hugger. Imagine someone who isnt a Pac hugger would say.

Your such an idiot. No 2 ways about it, 76%!!

As for popkins, he was just unbias unlike your nuthugging self. I can see some people saying Toney, most will say MAB/Morales.

I could post it in the classic forum and get the same result. You made it seem ludicrous for anyone to possibly rank MAB/Morales above Toney, when in fact most do.

Fat. Lol. Sure, post the video of yourself in a fight and I will, otherwise dont waste my time you ****in poser.

    HOLD UP.

Let me just summarize all the points if that's what you wanna call em that were made in this thread.

First GUZMAN was undefeated, so those that say he lost everytime he stepped to top tier opposition are full of ****. Ya'll are probably the same people that picked Guzman to beat PAC and EASY.

And back to Corrales and ODLH.

Corrales is not a boxer. The mother ****er is the last thing that you would refer to as slick. RIP but for real, he's a punch magnet. Him using the jab against Coralles does not automatically make him a slick boxer, especially considering Castillo was hard to miss himself.

But it's not just about employing the jab, it's about the style you use when you employ it and the style your opponent uses to counter this.

I mean ****, do I really need to break it down to boxing 101.

And for ODLH, don't give me that bull**** about the Mummy that fought Mayweather. First of all, DLH wasn't tryin to box Mayweather, he was trying to apply pressure. Second, with his mummy like style, he ain't ever really been considered a slick boxer. When he was young, he was quick, and he hit hard, and some mother ****ers may of said he was slick, but the guy that fought Mayweather was not that guy and he wasn't tryin to be.

And back to ya'll talkin **** about Guzman. Guzman ain't on the same level as Floyd, bla bla bla.

Guzman was hyped like a mother ****er before this loss, yet that's how ya'll mother ****ers treat people.

And for the record, Guzman was fighting coming foward. So, how do you know he's not on the same level as Floyd? When do you see Floyd fighting coming foward?

He doesn't, and when he has he didn't look comfortable.

Guzman had all the moves, even though he began to abandon his jab, but the fact that he couldn't hurt Funeka, and the fact that he was FORCED to fight coming foward which is outta element and outta Floyd's element as well is what led to his demise.

Floyd can fight his fight against certain opponents, but against guys like Funeka for instance, bigger and taller than him with solid boxing skills and especially a good jab, Floyd has to adapt because he'll be DESTROYED and knocked out if he keeps the fight from a distance.

He'd have to close the gap to get to a guy like Funeka before he could do any damage.

    AND

    AND

I'm gonna go on record and say that's why in the words of Nallege, Floyd has never fought a tall black fighter.

A tall fighter who stick behind a jab and keeps his distance would be hell for Floyd. Regardless of colour

I was a big Corales fan . And you are right. He had no jab. I thought he could easily beat Casmayor if he would have used his height and through a fricking jab everyonece in awhile. Corales was not a smart fighter and barely ever used his attributes to win a fight.
