I'd wager my left teste that he doesn't fight more than twice. Even fighting twice may be asking too much. Fury only has a small handful of relevant wins. And that is even being generous to him. No nigh-50 year old opponents, please. Not too much to ask, is it?
If Wlad couldn`t hit Fury enough because of his reach and running, spoiling tactics at 6ft 6" being a solidly built powerful heavy at 40 how the hell is the much shorter, lesser reach and older age of Tarver going to pan out, Fury would **** all over him!
I dunno, guess you're right, same goes if Fury were to have fought a little 37 year old 6'3" cruiser like USS Cunningham, most likely Steve wouldn't have laid a glove on h- oh wait.
Yeah. Tarver or Briggs would be OK for a comeback fight (kinda...) but this idea that he's going to fight them second and third is concerning. Still, it's totally up to him how he wants to handle it and i'll be along for the ride whatever.
I mean, one could argue that he's covering the gamut of stylistic looks and different sorts of threat here, since Briggs and Tarver couldn't be more unalike in the problems they pose. Nobody would give Tarver a chance in hell of knocking Fury out, nor Briggs a chance in hell to outbox him.
Fury needs to be careful in 2018. He should fight a bum in April. Forget Briggs and Tarver. Fight someone who is like...british level at best, if not lower. He needs to find out where he is at. Then in the second fight (July would make sense, he needs to fight loads in 2018) , fight someone like Briggs. Then in the third fight (October, something like that), he should come up against a 'mandatory defense dude' who always loses to the best but isn't too dangerous. Then after that, from around December onwards, he can pick the top guys. He shouldn't be going anywhere near a top level fighter in April. Realistically, summer 2019 onwards is a good point for Fury to fight Joshua/Wilder/Parker/Ortiz after he has had like 4 or even 5 warmups. He doesn't just have a few cobwebs...he's got a whole warehouse worth of cobwebs that he needs to dust off.
I feel like this shouldn't really be used as a metric to judge his future fights as Fury's style has changed since that fight. But yea, that MF did get dropped by a cruiser hahah
As a shameless fan of both when boxing goes wwf and 'The Gypsy King' I am all for both these comeback fights. It's not like Fury has an invisible, fairy-tale title to defend?
I don't care who Fury fights in his comeback fights, I just want to see him get into the ring again..................
He says he wants to fight AJ as his first fight back. Then he comes out with this ****. Just shut up, Step away from the keyboard, get yourself back in the ring against absolutely anyone, then a few months later fight someone slightly of note, a few months later fight someone slightly relevant and then do your talking. At the minute he’s just embarrassing.
