Furys have themselves to blame. The fight was close but if you fight in a negative manner then you leave it open for the judges to give the rounds to the other guy. To win a fight you need to throw punches.
Yes. Hughie does have great legs, problem was he spent the entire fight giving us a demonstration of how many miles he could traverse around the ring on them, whereas Parker came to at least try to make it a fight but obviously that is far more easier said than done when you're facing an opponent who's on their bicycle non stop and then grabbing a hold of you like an octopus whenever you do manage to track them down or corner them.
The problem here isn't with the officials or the scoring. The problem is that Hughie is in the wrong sport. He doesn't have the aggression or zeal for combat required to compete at the upper echelons of professional boxing. There's more to aggression than giving the other guy a shove at the weigh-in. With Parker's South Sea Islander heritage, aggression comes naturally to him. Captain Cook discovered that many years ago. Hughie is only young & has plenty of time to learn a different sport. I think rowing and swimming (backstroke) are sports that best suit his skill-set.
Fight was a right letdown and in my opinion the right man won. Fury just didn't do enough to relieve Parker of his title with his tactics of running away all night. God i thought klitschko was boring to watch but but Fury has taken boring to another level.
Running away aka circling the ring, parrying everything with his gloves and using a jab to win the rounds.
Let's weigh it up like this. Is the fury camp more outraged because; 1/ Its was a fight stacked in their favor, home venue, home ref, home judges and the best and easiest way to win a belt. 2/ They all lost stacks of cash betting on the potentially rigged bout. And dishing out brown evenlopes. 3/ The Colombian marching powder has warn off and their all on a massive come down.
jokes aside, I really thought it was the Fury's that were gonna rob Parker. I mean, wasn't that the plan all along? 1. cancel the fight in New Zealand 2. get the fight to go to the UK 3. Fury would fight his boxing style and get a hometown decision.
Well thats the look Hughie gave to his dad when he heard that Parker was announced the winner. It was like 'what happened to the plan?'
Hahahahaha. Masterclass hahaah, yeah Hughie displayed a masterclass in how to run away for 12 rounds while landing jabs with the force of snowflake falling on your chin.
Furies be like: "We paid you judges up front for the decision and you stitched us up!" Judges: "We tried, but he still has to throw a meaningful punch at some point." Furies: "That wasn't part of the deal!"
Lol at all those before saying the decision was already paid for. While Fury fought like he only needed to see the final bell all this conspiracy talk before hand was clearly bull****.
Fury boxed well but was very negative. Parker was all slam bam with out much blam!.Not much of a fight don't think ether are going very far fury has no power and parker is one dimensional and easy to hit.typical WBO title fight.
i thought the idea was that the judges would give every close round would go to Fury. wasnt that the Fury gameplan? but how come it didn't happen? how could the judges screw one of their own?
