It could happen people seem to think Fury will blow away Joshua.

But for me despite Joshua losing a bit of confidence/aggressiveness since his loss to Ruiz. Hes still a heavy handed fighter, and if Wilder with his limited skill set can floor Fury 4 times. It's not out of the question the more skillful Joshua could land a big one aswell.

This will be one of Fury's most dangerous fights IMO, remember he only has Wilder, old Wlad, Whyte, on his resume. Is Joshua now really any worse than either of them ?

    It's a smart call out.

AJ is still a huge money fight that will get Britian excited. In the past, AJ would have been the A-side and would command a lion's share of the payday. Now Fury is going to the the lion's share.

He sees AJ as an easier fight than Usyk and can make a ton of money doing it.

Don't disagree with any of this. While I still have Fury as the favorite. I didn't write this article for nothing.:sisi1

I think Fury knows Joshua's star is falling. The longer they don't fight each other the more of that big old cash pile that was available will wither away. He's probably thinking the sooner he fights AJ the better, because if AJ gets upset again or looks bad in another fight, that'll be all she wrote. It's desperation from Fury, he wants as much money as he can squeeze from Joshua. This seems like BS though. AJ and his team have already stated that they want an easier fight for a change, I doubt they'd want to face a top heavyweight like Fury in 3 months. I think Fury knows AJ can't accept the fight this soon and will make himself look good while claiming "I offered AJ the fight, you saw it! He's just a bum and a coward, he avoided me like Usyk did!!!." His delusional fans will slurp it all up.

I just read your write up I totally agree, I also have Fury the favourite over Joshua. But I don't think it's quite the formality that people think.

For me this is what I don't get, now before I joined this forum I used to lurk now and again reading some topics. And correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Wilder seen as the bum killer ? Who was overly protected before fighting Fury ?

Now that Wilder floored Fury 4 times and showed some heart in 3rd fight, quite alot of people have changed their tune about Wilder.

My question is are people overrating Fury's skills ? Or did we underrate Wilder slightly ? Me personally I've never seen much in Wilder outside of his right hand, his skillset is appalling at times TBH. So me for it gives me some concern, that a supposed master boxer aka Fury. Is getting floored so often by someone with such a limited skillset.

Only in the UK. I have no data to support my opinion but I think Usyk is more world wide known now, or surely Euro wide. AJ is used goods, and is a nobody here despite Eddie H claims to the contrary.

Personally I think Fury-Usyk is the bigger fight for the boxing world and the casual world. After all, its for the undisputed HW Champeen of the world. What's Fury-AJ for.....the Brexit belt? Fury-Usyk is way more marketable worldwide.

    Just a point of confusion,
After Fury retired again, I thought the Ring magazine removed the lineal title from Fury and awarded it to Usyk?

Are you joking? Usyk literally said on camera that he doesn’t want to fight Fury in December.

So you’d prefer for Fury to sit around and do nothing while waiting for Usyk which won’t be until next year, instead of fighting Joshua, a top 5 HW, in a super fight?

    You people are brainless.

Smart business. Get the AJ money fight first. If he loses to Usyk, the AJ fight may never happen.

CST is a tad hypocritical in this regard because he was a big advocate of Wilder for a long time, picked him to destroy Povetkin, destroy Joshua, destroy Fury. People picked Wlad against Fury and Wilder against Fury at least x2 and when Fury beats or even dominates them there's a need to undermine these fighters. It will be exactly the same deal with Usyk if Fury beats him, Fury won't start to get the credit he deserves for at least 5 years after he's really retired.

Wilder's primary skillset is knocking you out, though he's also hard to beat on points due to the scoring effect of KD's, A-side and hometown bias. There's never been a fighter in history with Wilder's collection of attributes, sniper fighters didn't even exist at HW until relatively recently. Wilder's also a far better pointfighter than someone like Whyte when he wants to be, it's plain to see from the first Fury-Wilder fight.

It matters not. The HW champ Usyk will be available in March. Let the lessars duke it out.

Fury is just trolling. He knows Joshua can't take this fight in December.

Hearn would be mad to turn this down.

No more "marinating". No more "we need 6 months to build a fight of this magnitude". Just get on with it and stop leaving these mega fights to chance.
