If by "Fury hasn't been in the deep end," Joshua means "Fury hasn't been knocked out," then he is exactly right. Fury hasn't been knocked out.
Pretty much what I’ve always thought about this matchup. AJ has maybe 5 rounds to get inside and make something happen before he gets tired. When that happens it’s an easy Fury decision. The weight cut may help AJ move a bit better, it could also make his chin worse.
Lol Fury has more skill then Joshua and more tools in his arsenal which is why a fighter hasn’t really been able to take him into the deep end unlike AJ. AJ’s statement is ironic - by stating that he is saying that the heavyweight division which he himself competes in is pretty shallow in talent.
After missing more shots than in any of his other fights due to Fury`s ability to slip shots, an ability that AJ doe not have.
Saw a pic of AJ in the sun newspaper the other day and he looked about 18 stones, there`s a thread on here about his weight gain.
AJ must have missed R12 of the first Wilder fight. Just like he missed the referees instructions when he fought Ruiz and quit.. sorry I mean stood there like a dummy in the corner. AJ is just making himself look an idiot, it's one thing selling a fight and this one hasn't even been signed, but it's another thing just talking out your backside and looking like a bitter fool. Heavyweight Rankings: 1) Fury That's all that matters really, AJ can have a pop at Furys resume, have a pop about Fury apparently not being in deep waters but the fact is inside two fights, two performances Fury has overtaken him and is loved and adored by the vast majority of the boxing public. Hearn and AJ have just been run over, AJ isn't helping himself by mouthing off, he still has a lot to prove, running around the ring for 12 against a overweight and untrained, Ruiz isn't proof of anything, other than AJ didn't trust his chin in the rematch.
Couldn’t disagree more. Listen, I don’t have any dislike for Joshua, but he is talking out his arse here. Fury was GONE in Wilder I. Wallin turned Fury’s face into a pizza and was clearly ahead (on my scorecard atleast) but Fury came back and rightfully earned a decision. Not to mention his depression and incredibly weight loss. Joshua has been in the deep end too, twice, against Wlad and Ruiz. He weren’t able to turn it around in the latter. Hell, I’m not sure that Joshua could have clawed his way back if he was in Fury’s position against Wallin, but I’m SURE Fury wouldn’t have quit against Ruiz.
The WBA, WBO and IBF champ said: If the sport is lacking so much in talent, it shows that all you need is feints and a bit of movement to be called a great of your generation.
