It's only obvious you don't know what you're talking about. What do you think is more important to Fury, the fact that he was born in Manchester or the fact that he's an Irish Traveller? You're English and from Liverpool, so of course you're going to think that your hometown is what counts, but for people born without the genetic disease of being English, it's usually heritage that matters most. Whatever people think is most important, it should really be up to them, rather than others to decide for them.

I'm sure Fury would like to get more support in Manchester, but it's obvious that one of the reasons he struggles for support there is his background. If he keeps winning that will probably change a bit, but because of what he is, he'll probably never be as popular as Hatton in Manchester, no matter what he wins.

I kind of agree with this bit, i don't think Tyson Fury is anymore Irish than me, everyone in Liverpool has Irish roots. The fact of the matter is, you represent where you grew up and live.

I am not sure how the Irish are taking to Tyson Fury.

If i was a Irish fighter, and some fighter who grew up in England but..? he had Irish Grand Parents, suddenly started piping up that they fight for Ireland..? i would feel abit pissed off.

I got pissed off when all the yank Track and Field athletes are getting dual nationality, and exploiting UK athletics. Because its easier to make the GB team, and gain funding.

Suppose they are just trying to survive, and progress..? still annoyed me though.
