A TV can be a digital TV but not a smart TV.. so that where SBO comes in.. digital TVs often have a sky box.. I think..

So smart TVs can order the single fight maybe.. I just got a digital TV and have a sky box..

    But no subscription now..

You'd imagine it will be priced just under the £20 mark for that reason.

No its a Sky Box Office event, you buy it through the box office section of your Sky Planner and if you do so you'll be charged on your Sky bill not by Boxnation.

The channel is being called Boxnation Box Office for branding purposes. No different to Sky Sports Box Office.

Mmm, that doesn't sound right. You are basically saying it's an actual sky channel but it just called boxnation box office. Doesn't really add up, if that was the case I am finding it pretty damn strange that sky sports website doesn't even mention it will be broadcast on a channel it controls.

Gonna need more clarification to for me to believe that.

Being charged by sky when ordering doesn't actually mean anything. Sky are just taking control of all the billing.

They did the same with ESPN when people paid for ESPN before it became a BT channel.

It needs a phone line or internet to order the Box Office.. but it's not a traditional SBO I guess.. so no phone ordering..

Basically it means on Talk Talk as well? Usually Virgin can order SBO.. so maybe the poster talking about it being cheaper.. I don't think Freeview and Talk Talk pay a £8 connection fee..

So Freeview and Talk Talk have access to the PPV..

Another £££££££ mad member of the family!! Chip off the old snake skinned block! They don't give a nats ass about giving boxing to the public they just want to make more money than they are now! Too many mouths to feed.....

Always thought when they first started this BN channel they would never go PPV route. Gonna be a boring fight anyway and honestly smith v Canelo will be a better PPV!

Sky can still make money in the future future.. just by being on Sky Sports PPV.. but the wealth is being spread nowadays..

So they are going to have another channel? Seems excessive just for a PPV outlet.

I don't think You will see it live unless boxnation have big fights which are shown UK primetime or a mega fight like Canelo vs GGG

Can see why they would want fury vs klit on their. They wanna catch the casual viewer who sees an ad and instantly can press a button to order.

Problem is lots of casual saw the first fight. I do wonder how many of them have decided they they not gonna pay to see that again as it was such a boring fight.

George Warren comes across well doesn't he?

It looks like it's just going to be a case of channel 490 unecrypting for a fee which means it's effectively the same channel rebranded on certain nights.

More to do with logistics with Sky than an actual deal with Sky.
