Good grief, listening to you keyboard warriors is more sickening than anything Fury can say. Id like to see any of you big shots step into the ring for a HW title shot against a K-bro and that for peanuts!!! Even if a fighter is not bigtime, they should still be offered a nice wedge fighting for a world title. This is not a friggin tickling contest! On a side note, what do you want him to say, that he has no friggin chance against a K-bro? Fools.
he is all talk though ..I mean he did show some improvment in his last fight ..but saying he can beat the klitschkos then wont get in the ring on the same note?.....**** talker ! Wlad would stiffen him up quik and vitali would give him a beating so bad he would never want to fight again
Solis was a Mandatory, and hence entitled to 30%, and I think the fight was going to go to a purse bid at one stage :S
wow, i just read the interview, wtf? how deluded is this guy? really? gawd i hope he gets at shot at Vitali just so he will be brutalized...
He'd lose to the Klitschkos, nobody denies that. But then, what is he supposed to say? Boxing isn't a sport of being humble. If you enter a fight letting the public know you don't believe in winning yourself, nobody will tune in. Trash talk is an entertaining way of generating hype and attention. Fury intends to get under the skin of Klit supporters and he is apparently succeeding. If the audience at fight night comes to see him win or lose is widely irrelevant - they'll come and they'll pay and that's that.
In all fairness, the kid is only 23. Yeah, he got a weak beard, but even at this stage I don't see Potvetkin being able to get it. He's not a chance taker IMO, and it will take either a hungry contender trying to break into the mix like Mitchell or a powerful well trained gatekeeper/journeyman like Monte Barrett to risk getting hurt for peanuts but still put the pressure on the youngster. Personally I don't rate Fury just yet. When he beat Chisora, the win looked great on paper, but reviewing it takes all the credibility away as Delboy was basically a stationary target from the 4th on.....most say the 2nd. He proved he could take 1 punch, but looked horribly unsettled by the 1 punch. Same goes for his win over Firtha, which IMO was a horrible stoppage and was only called to save him from taking more shots.:deal
Does anyone really WANT to see it be a K2 to end Fury......I'd much rather see him beat by a gatekeeper or contender first, then come back like Arreola has, beating Cclass fighters, and then be fed to an old, about to retire Wladimir. That would be how I'd like to Wlad go out with his last win.....over a 28 y/o cruising PRIME Fury.
Indeed, people are so desperate to see the Klitschko's lose, or at the very least CHALLENGED, that we let it affect our when it comes to any up and coming boxer. As Lennox Lewis himself said to me, the Heavyweight division needs one thing (other than less sanctioning bodies)... ONE Challenger to come out and have the mentality to challenge and beat EVERYBODY, and actually try to unify all the belts and beat them all. Where that challenger is.. Who he is... and when he will arrive.... I don't know.
If Fury has a problem with it he should take the fight, win the title, and then make the rules for the rematch.
