Fury could be built up in the Eubank style, and have regular outings on SFN. Eddie Hearn negotiated Audley to PrizeFighter then Europe then the big PPV. Imagine what he could do with Fury?
to be fair, henessey isnt doing a bad job with fury. loads of exposure, decent progression in opponents including 2 great fights with mcdermott. fury wants the british so just need to wait till chisora is forced to fight him after losing to vlad. any sooner and i think it would have been too soon. if fury gets to european/world level though, henessey clearly will be out of his depth.
Fury needs his next four or five fights to be on terrestrial TV (ITV or BBC) VERY VERY BADLY. If you're reading this mate, get yourself on regular TV otherwise you'll remain on the fringes playing to shitty crowds.
What you on, ITV BBC dont show boxing so hows he going to do that. He has had plenty of exposure through his boxing and his pikey Dad and is in the papers quite alot more than any other domestic heavy weight, plenty of good fights out there for him like David price, Tom Dallas, Sprott, Chisora when he is ready, Sam sexton, Martin rogan.. :deal You got to be on the fringes and win domestically before your recognised, you need to walk before you can run... Then he may get a shot.
I think another year with mick wouldnt do him much harm. he doesnt need to be fighting domestic title fights. that will come. keep getting him 10 rounders with tough durable fighters and it will be good.
I think he's being managed well by Mick. He's fighting various opponents who present different problems to him. You can't expect the lad to fight great opponents all time but even saturdays opponent come to win unlike a other heavyweight who's on sky. I like to see him stay with Mick because i think there fantastic double act and he is already known and although Sky exposure is great...we see guys fighting dog**** fighters and i rather Tyson fight off main screen coverage and fight decent oppo and learn then batter guys and become a character. He already is one...and i like Mick...had tough weekend....he needs to keep a star like Tyson.
Yer cant fault Mick with Fury had some great momentum going with him on ITV and he has kept the buzz despite the lack of a tv deal
A young, 6'9 HW called Tyson Fury, who's great for a quote & can box a bit. Thats a promoters wet dream. Ive got no problem with the way Hennessy is handling him but I dont think he'll stay with him 4ever.
I reckon Fury is doing ok with Hennessy. Fury could possibly sign to a bigger promoter possibly in the States but he isn't ready for that. He has fundamental errors in his boxing to sort out such as punching off the wrong foot, arm punches, poor footwork nevermind stamina and conditioning problems. Fury is ok with Henessey for the time being. There is an Irish American fan base that would follow Fury in America if he could bring his skills and fitness up a few notches.
