With the offered date of the 3rd of December, a 60-40 purse split and a rematch clause of 50-50 I really can't see why this fight shouldn't take place IF both camps are serious and really want this fight to happen.

It's the best early December Heavyweight fight we can hope to get this year. A fight which I never thought would even be thought about or mentioned. It's just come right out of the blue.

Let's just hope it actually happens. I won't hold my breath on this one though.

Whatever man, Fury is clearly trying to back peddle. Even Stevie Wonder can see that.

If and when Joshua accepts the 3rd there will be another road block. Book it.

AJ turning down Dec 3rd would be a bit silly, but if there are logistical/legal/venue issues on AJ's end that make Dec 17th easier, than Fury rejecting a date two weeks later would be childish. Either way, shouldn't sometime in december be good enough for everyone? Fury making up arbitrary deadlines is just nonsensical.

As I said before, Deontay Wilder fought Ortiz 13 weeks before the second Fury fight.
If Joshua fights on December 3, that's 15 weeks gap after the Usyk fight.

It's so obviously plenty of time. It's not even worth all this discussion.

If AJ wants the fight at all hell say yes to December 3 offer.

AJ should agree , wait 6 weeks and then tell Fury fight is off unless we postpone it until january .

Well, Fury's looking for an opponent to make a voluntary defence against. Apparently in November.
It's up to him to pick a date and opponent. He changed date to December 3 when Joshua said he'd be ready in December.
Now, it's Joshua fans saying in has to be 17th.
    Lol

    Well let's see.
    You might be right.
But AJ will have to confirm December 3rd first.
If AJ doesn't want December 3rd, you can't blame Fury.

Yeah i think AJ should play a bit of Fury mind games. Accept the fight on December 3th, then fake an injury and postpone the fight and have full time to prepare.

AJ need to organize his camp + need to find sparring partner, which is not easy task to get sparring partners for Fury. There is also a lot of preparation that doesn't happen overnight. All set and done and he will have less than 8 week camp, when he is proper rested after Usyk fight.
Fury and Usyk hasn't started negotiating next, so that excuse is pathetic.
AJ request for the fight to be on December 17th, so he had time to prepare for the fight is a legit one. Fury doesn't legit excuse not to make the fight on December 17th.
Everything is already in his favor. 60-40, rematch clause only for him, and still an early date in which he will 100% be ready, a date that he was originally booked to fight.

This b.c. with Fury is giving AJ opportunity can works on Fury low IQ fans.
This is the biggest or second biggest fight in HW boxing, so either fighter have to lesser their demands.

If the fight is agreed and contracts signed that's the last thing we want to happen, Surely....

Plus it won't bode too well for AJ as it'll be seen in a very poor light, even amongst the Fury haters. And similar for Fury if he pulls any stunts.

And AJ's had enough negative drama of late so that's the last thing he should do.

Let's get this fight over the line.

Fury is gonna keep spinning a web of bull**** as long as he can catch so many flies so easily. Think critically about all of this for a few minutes...

Name me a time Fury has ever spoken nonsense to remain relevant. Every single week? Oh
Name me a time Joshua has ever knowingly stepped up to take on someone clearly better than him. Never? Oh

It's convenient for both of them to posture with this fight. Joshua needs to look like he isn't still crying in the corner after back to back defeats (he is). Fury needs to stay in the media until Usyk is ready (he can do that very easily with boxing fans and silly as they are).

Some people on this forum would rather fights don't happen at all so they can just accuse boxers of ducking.

I expect AJ will say yes to December 3
& then we will see if Fury is serious.
I don't see any reason to doubt Fury. If he wanted to duck he would have stuck to November dates when Joshua said he would be ready in December.

Wasn't that the fight where Wilder got absolutely destroyed by Fury, blamed his suit for draining his legs, someone for spiking his water, Mark Breeland for being an inside man, egg weights in Fury's gloves, etc. etc.?

Not sure that is the best example.

Sorry I should stay out of this, but that was a funny example to use.

AJ accepted the purse split but clearly Fury is not serious because he is arguing about the date in December.
